Amitabh sucks-A?? He was impressive.
KBC was a revival for him.
As with all concept-based TV programs I got bored in no time. So I have no idea about later seasons.
Shah Rukh podhuvA spontaneously witty guy. Like his intrees etc. in small, well-spaced portions. But didn't like him in KBC because I felt it became more a dance-and-fun than dikkinified-erudition feel that Bachchan gave to the program. I remember the focus, atleast in the first season, being about the questions. Then it became more human drama (talking to celebrity in between the questions, human moments etc.)

Surya - no chance of comparing to them.

+1, I think Sidhdhartha Basu was framing the questions. (S Basu was so impressive during my college days when DD had his quiz program and most students were HCFs for that show).

I yam big amitji attacker but even I ought to concede that he infact sold KBC succesfully to indian audience. It was his revival, yes, but it was also the introduction of the show to Indhi audience and he succeeded. Saarug seasonlaam TRP wise big flop - and dancing mangey feel as feeyaar put it. As regards his intrees, innikku kaalaila kooda News channell-la Don 2 promotionku vandhApla - oNNum solRadhukilla - Michael Jackson later days mAdhiri oru uruvam, simbu mAdhiri manappiRazhvu in his thought process...

Became slight overdose at one piont when he was doing too many tv shows, interviews. ippo I think he has reigned it in. Either that or it is due to my drastic reduction in tv watching time.

Not at all. IMO among all heros he's got a very friendly attitude and quite casual when interacting (Coffee with Anu, and many other Vijay TV programs hosted by Gopinath with audience from general public ellaam oru saatchi). Vijay/Ajith ellaam seatleyae comfortable'la ukkaara mudiyaama irukkura maathiri thOnum and they are not all interactive and not casual what so ever (sirikkirthae konjam yOsichuthaan sirippaanga). Even on stage they dont look comfortable. Vikram overa sweet'a irukkura maathiri irukkum. Simbu is quite fine but yaaravathu avara oru control'la vechirukkanum, illaenna ellai meeRi pOyidum. Madhavan will be a good choice but avarukku local thamizh'la fluent'a casual'a paesa varaathu.. and he is not a 'maa perum nadigar' that Vijay TV wants.
