Btw, another (silly) question. Does Android phones allow you to set your own mp3s as ringtones?

yes they do...
and the navigation is not as tricky as u assume it to be...
you use it for half an hour and u ll get used to it...
and reg apps, there are lots and lots of apps available everyday in android market, which u can access from ur phone easily... most of them are free and even the paid ones are cheaper than that of iPhone i believe.
