I think I know the reason behind Rahman Ji being extra excited over the response. It's because certain people/fans have been doubtful in the past in relation to his live singing. If you ask me, then his cover for "Aaj jaane ke zid na karo" is parallel to the original if not better and I've never heard him sounding like this before. :totally-reinvented: The orchestration in the first interlude (not in the original) has been haunting me ever since I heard it.

However, I don't know whether Rahman Ji took a leaf out of Shankar Tucker's book, as he also released a cover of this recently. However, Rahman Ji has definitely made this his own song! Surreal, sumblim, divine, and I could go on and on!
