He worked with Zimmer for performing in the Oscar ceremony and not for any movie. Post the Oscar win, he worked in 3 Hollywood movies. Couples Retreat, 127 Hours and People Like Us. CT's Na Na made it to the long list. 127 hours earned him 2 nominations - taking his total Oscar nomination count to 5. PLU released a few months back and we have to see what is in store. While his fellow MDs struggle to grab even black ladies aka filmfare trophies, I am at least happy to see ARR in the Kodak theatre year after year

On a side note, this has helped ARR to collaborate with many stalwarts for his subsequent works. Ann Marie, Jagger, Dido, Liz Phair, Orianti, etc.

I am not sure about the position he holds in Hollywood right now. And honestly, I am not too worried about that because I didn't expect him to be at the top all of a sudden. He did that here in India but Hollywood is a bigger ball game. Hope he makes careful strides to the top. No urgency.

Oh man Ajay! All I asked is **what** Rahman achieved in hollywood all these years and with all those films he worked on. And I am asking what is his real status there and not your opinon on how he will do in later years

You are not sure about the position he holds in hollywood, and all that position was mainly becos of his winning of Academy award.
