Watched two 1979 releases recently:
Kanni Paruvathile - which was a blockbuster then
Ponnu Oorukku Pudhusu

Both films dealt about sex, albeit illicit ones - a theme very popular during those times.
In Kanni Paruvathile Vadivukkarasi is married to an impotent Rajesh and in a moment of weakness she forgets herself with K. Bhagyaraj. Who then sees a window of opportunity open. Pattu vanna rosaavaam is the sad song of the impotent husband.

In Ponnu Oorukku Pudhusu, Shoba enters a village with 999 people as a Birth Control Consultant. Legend has it that the 1000th person in the village will die. The extremely sex song, Orampo (banned in both India and Malaysia) appears in this movie. Sudhakar "only" rides Shoba's bicycle in this song.
Again there is illicit sex, suspicions and gossip. And the usual twist in the end.
