as well as I know, KP was a flop.. I watched this in the first week during its release.. Family audience did not like it at all... even the word of mouth was not that good though I liked it... when revisited later, I started admiring 'Kamalism' especially in the dialogues...

RR, Kurudhippunal might have underperformed in C centers but it had a very good run in Chennai and suburbs. It ran for 80+ days in AVM Rajeshwari and 60+ days in Tambaram Vetri/Vidya(Muthu ran for 88 days here). If I am not wrong, the movie celebrated 100 days in Devi complex. Muthu, of course was a bigger hit as it was a complete masala entertainer and had everything which KP did not, yet the difference in BO performance was not as big as Chandramukhi-Mumbai Express or Thevar Magan-Pandian. Moreover the budget of KP must have been half of Muthu (Home production, relatively new Director, MD, smaller star cast, lesser sets). I watched on the 5th day, by paying 150 for a ticket.

yes, it should have been a low budget movie. Hit'na sandhosham than... as you said, for C center, it was too much to chew...

    Predator - jungle fever

Really great movie with Arnold S. I wonder how predator would have been if it took place in a city.

I think there is is a similar tamil movie. I cant remember the tamil movie title though, I hope someone remembers it.
    God bless all
