Funny thing happening in TFI

i visit india once in two or three years. my father usually keeps two or three years worth of kumudam, vikatan and other magazines for me to read and catchup with the news.

so, i happened to read nayanthara's interview (given last year sometime). it read 'sharukh khan asked me to do an item dance in the movie chennai express and i said no. i said no because i don't like doing item dance. on other other hand, i accepted to do a dance number in dhanush's movie ethir neechal. it is because my character in that movie has lot of weight and scope. my character only appears for few minutes in the movie but it will change the course of the movie - it is a very important role and i immediately said yes without hesitating."

i thought it was funny

அரசியலுக்கு வரும் எண்ணம் இல்லை - விஜய் திடீர் அறிவிப்பு - ரசிகர்களுக்கும் எச்சரிக்கை!!

எதிர்காலத்தில் அரசியலில் பிரவேசிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசையில், தனது ரசிகர் மன்றங்களைகூட மக்கள் இயக்கமாக மாற்றினார் விஜய். அதோடு, இலவச திருமணங்கள், ஏழை மாணவர்களின் படிப்பு செலவு என்று உதவிகள் செய்து வந்த விஜய், சில மாதங்களுக்கு முன்பு அரசாங்கம் வழங்குவது போன்ற நலத்திட்ட உதவி வழங்குவதற்கும் ஒரு பிரமாண்ட விழாவிற்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தார். ஆனால் பின்னர் அந்த விழாவுக்கு அனுமதி மறுக்கப்பட்டதால் அது கைவிடப்பட்டது.

இந்த நிலையில், விஜய் நடித்து வெளியாகியுள்ள தலைவா படம் திரைக்கு வரயிருந்த நேரத்தில் தியேட்டர்களுக்கு வெடிகுண்டு மிரட்டல்கள் ஏற்பட்டதால், படம் குறித்த நாளில் வெளியாக தடை ஏற்பட்டது. இதற்கு அரசியல் தலையீடுகள்கூட காரணமாக இருக்குமோ என்ற ஐயமும் எழுந்தது. இதையடுத்து இது விஜய்யின் அரசியல் ஆர்வத்துக்கு ஆப்பு வைக்கும் செயல் என்றுகூட சில கருத்து தெரிவித்தனர். அதனால் தலைவா படத்தை திரைக்கு கொண்டு வரும் முயற்சியாக, முதல்வரை சந்திக்க முயல்வது, ஆட்சியை புகழ்ந்து அறிக்கை விடுவது என்றெல்லாம் சில நாட்களாக செய்து கொண்டிருந்த விஜய், தலைவா டைட்டீலுக்கு கீழே இடம்பெற்றிருந்த டைம் டூ லீடு (தலைமையேற்கும் நேரம்) என்ற வாசகத்தை நீக்கினார்.

இப்போது படம் திரைக்கு வந்ததை அடுத்து இன்னொரு அதிரடி முடிவை தனது டுவிட்டரில் வெளியிட்டுள்ளார். அதில், எனக்கு அரசியலுக்கு வரும் எண்ணம் இல்லை. அதனால் தலைவா பேனர்களில் அரசியல் வசனங்களை யாரும் எழுதக்கூடாது என்று ரசிகர்களை கேட்டுக்கொண்டுள்ள விஜய், இதையும் மீறி யாரும் செயல்பட்டால் ரசிகர் மன்றங்களையே கலைத்து விடுவேன் என்றும் எச்சரித்துள்ளார். மேலும், இனி ரசிகர்மன்ற விஷயங்களில் நானே நேரடியாக தலையிடுவேன், எனது தந்தையோ, இல்லை மற்றவர்களையோ அதில் சம்பந்தப்பட விடமாட்டேன் என்றும் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
