One more Doubt-As per my knowledge goes Malaikallan ran for 100 Days in only one theatre in Chennai. Prabath&saraswathi screened Ratha kanneer. Other centres also it didnt run as mentioned.Kindly correct it after verifying it as we take efforts to be accurate on historical recordings.

Dear Gopal sir,

I can understand why you extended the list uptp 1977.

But the last Black & White movie of our Nadigarthilagam "THAAI" released in 1974. After that no more b & w movies. So all other concerns should start their movies in colour only.

But I accept that, I have omitted Irudhuruvam, Moondru Dheivangal, Padhukappu and Savale Samaali.....

What about 'Manitharil Maanikam' ( remember, the song with English introductory words 'I will sing for you')? It was in black & white and released in either 1974 or 1975. Was is it a guest role?

Introductory word "you want me to sing?OK.Ok".Then I will sing for you,I will Dance for you. Brilliant portrayal as eccentric Doctor with caustic tongue and good by deeds.(Indeed it was a Guest role where A.V.M .Rajan was protagonist.)

Usually Nadigar Thilagam films release in 3 combination theaters - for black and white days, it would be mostly Chitra, Crown & Sayani and Later it was
Shanthi, Crown & Bhuvaneswari

However, Some of the films that were also released in 4 Theaters and the films that ran for over 100 days in all the 4 theaters as far as my knowledge goes were ...

Aalayamani ( SriKrishna, Paragon, Uma & Noorjehan) - 4 theaters 1962
Kai koduththa deivam ( Midland, Prabath, Saraswathi & Ram) - 4 theaters - 1964
Navarathiri (Midland, Maharani, Uma & Ram) - 4 theaters - 1964
SivandhaMann (Globe, Agasthia, Megala & Noorjehan) 4 theaters - 1969

Please correct me if am wrong...

If we talk about all release theaters ie., 3 Theaters then there are lot more to follow Before the above quoted year and after the above quoted year :

Punarjenmam has not run for 100 days at all.
first movie ran 100 days very very successfully was ALAYA MANI at paragan krishna saraswathi and noorjehan. followed by kk deivam and navarathri our side. upcourse SIVANDAMANN too.
