hey wow this is the type of step by step i needed!
I always find myself having to insert english word instead or floundering for a mispronounced tamil word...when i think of writing in tamglish i find my pronounciation even worse....and very comical for others

I think I really like the words, katRukondEn, katRukkondaay etc... Since I have been learning Tamil both from Shanthi and through the sheets from www.tamilclass.com , I have found that not only was I learning alot in Tamil, but also alot of new words etc were coming to me naturally, based on what I already had learned.

ie: when rajraj typed the future tense phrases, ennidam irukkum, engaLidam irukkum etc.. I came to know naturally what was the past and present tense forms of these phrases.

raj, dev and other tamizh arinjargaL,

the word we use to convey "sate" is

'thirupthi'

I think its sanskrit. iTS ACTUALLY SAID AS 'thrupthi' rather than 'THIRUPTHI'

Since Otrezhuthu cant come as first letter, do we say
'thirupthi'?

Its actually 'thrupthi' aint not?

What kind of tamil you want to learn casual speaking tamil or pure tamil? be sure of it.Because if you speak pure tamil to a person in Tamilnadu (Eventhough its correct) they will think that you got escaped from Keezhpakkam.Like if you want to know about bus route then

Pure Tamil
Nanbarey! Indha perundhu adayar selluma? vazhithadam sollungalyen

Colloq tamil (Which is n normal use)
Boss! indha bus-u adayar poguma? Enna route-u?
