MY TAKE ON THE INDIAN CINEMA 100 YEARS FUNCTION HELD IN CHENNAI

The move to have a function for the 100 years of Indian Cinema is quite appreciable and commendable, taking into consideration the volume of trade this industry does, the work opportunities it provides and the revenue it brings into the moolah of the respective states.

The choice of Chennai-Tamilnadu as the destination explains how safe it is here despite the other metropolitan and cosmopolitan states.

BUT, the way the entire affair was conducted is something not to appreciated and honestly, it resembled more of a state political function.

The Organizers, looked like one agenda - To Make the ruling govt. happy by all means for the ransom they received ?

Great Legends, Production Houses, Technicians were totally, comfortably forgotten. What else can be expected ?

There was no overall theme ...Ideally they should have done it concept based.

With reference to screening films, most of the tamil films but for miniscule numbers, most of them belonged to the entertainment category. Whereas there were good number of films from other languages that atleast had 70: 30 ratio. 30 percent entertainment category. - End of the day, who is bothered about what contribution that film brings across to the society.

Whoever, spoke of statistical information, had an impressive just to receive claps sort of statistics and nowhere they stuck to the authenticated, correct data. Highly, disappointed !

Contributions of AVM, PRASAD, GEMINI etc., were not even mentioned. Actors who brought laurels to the region, country were totally eliminated - be it is mentioning their names, or to mention the contributions to the country and region.

Contribution of Tamil Cinema towards inculcating tradition, ethics, moral values, religion, epics, patriotism etc., were totally sidelined.

Contribution of Tamil Actors like MKT, PUC, NSK, T.R.Mahalingam, TKS Brothers, the first tamil actor to receive the First International Award for performance, and who took the tamil film to international forum for the first time in the history of Indian Cinema for multiple times, Late.Mr. Sivaji Ganesan, followed by Mr.Kamalahassan etc., was totally deliberately left out. - May be the fear factor of getting themselves overshadowed by the above Legends? or is it an ignorance - God knows..! The only consolation was Late Mr. M.G.Ramachandran. The chief minister am sure would have been in the receiving end had she forgotten her mentor in this function!

Indian Cinema 100 Years - No Cinema Only Politics !

Hope the committee change their act like slave attitude and throw the nature of Zindabad for everything ! Participation of Chief Minister is never a Mandatory for this function. Should have been chaired by the President for conducting a fair function !

திரைப்பட நூற்றாண்டு விழாவில் ஜெயலலிதா "ஒரு ஊரில் ஒரு மனிதர் இருந்தார்" என்று ஆரம்பித்து குட்டிக்கதை சொல்லி எதிர்க்கட்சியை தாக்கியதன் மூலம், அரசு செலவில் நடந்த விழாவை அ.இ.அ.தி.மு.க. விழாவாக்கி விட்டார்.

அதிலும் வரவேற்புரை(???) நிகழ்த்திய கல்யாணம் என்பவர் ஒவ்வொரு வரிக்கும் இடையே 'ஹம்மா'..... 'ஹம்மா' என்று விளித்தது செம தமாஷ்.

மிகவும் வித்தியாசமான முறையில் அலசப்பட்ட 'மகாகவி காளிதாஸ்' திரைப்பட ஆய்வு மிகவும் அருமை. வெளிவந்தபோது இது வெற்றிப்படமே, ஓகோ என்ற அளவுக்கு ஓடாவிட்டாலும்.

திருவிளையாடல் சாயல் இருந்ததால் என்று சொல்ல முடியாது. ஏனென்றால் இதையடுத்து வந்த 'சரஸ்வதி சபதம்' கிட்டத்தட்ட இதே சாயலில் (மூடன் புலவனாவதும், ஊமை புலவனாவதும்) இருந்தாலும் சரஸ்வதி சபதம் இமாலய வெற்றியடைந்தது.

(ஒரு சின்ன குறை. சிலைக்கு பலவண்ணம் பூசப்பட்டதற்கு மாறாக சிலை முழுமைக்கும் கருப்பு அல்லது தங்க வண்ணம் பூசியிருந்தால் சிலை இன்னும் கம்பீரமாகத் தோற்றமளிக்கும். இப்போதும் காலம் கடந்துவிடவில்லை. செய்யலாம்).

ஆந்திர மாநிலம் நகரியில் நடிகர்திலகத்திற்கும், காமராஜருக்கும் அருகருகே கல்லினாலான சிலைகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டு, இரண்டு சிலைகளுக்கும் சேர்த்து ஒரு மண்டபம் அமைக்கப்பட்டு முடிவடைந்துள்ளது. தெலுங்கானா பிரச்சினையினால் திறப்பு விழா தள்ளிக்கொண்டே போகிறது.

மகாகவி காளிதாஸ் பற்றி எங்கள் கவி சின்னக் கண்ணன் நீங்கள் தந்த கவிதை விமர்சனம் ஜோர். அழகான நடை. வழக்கமான காமெடி பஞ்ச்களோடு. “தாயே வாட் இஸ் மை பொஷிசன்" ரொம்ப ரசித்தேன். நடிகர் திலகத்தின் அற்புத நடிப்பை தங்கள் அழகு கவிதை நடையிலே எதிர்பார்த்த எனக்கு கொஞ்சம் ஏமாற்றமே! ஆனால் கதையை கவிதை நடையில் தந்து களிப்புறச் செய்து விட்டீர்கள்.



எனக்கு மிகவும் பிடித்ததொரு காவியம். நடிப்பு மன்னனின் ராஜாங்கம் இதிலும் கொடிகட்டும். முக்கியமாக முதல் பாதியின் ஆடு மேய்க்கும் சின்னா ரோல். கோவிலில் லட்டை கையில் மறைத்து வைத்து சுந்தராம்பாளிடம் 'மண்ணாங்கட்டி' என்று சொல்லுவார். லட்டை பாட்டி கேட்டதும் "வுட மாட்டேங்கிறியே நீ" என்று கொஞ்சூண்டு எடுத்து புலம்பியபடி தருவார். அதுவும் அந்த பாவாஷம் உச்சரிப்பு அதகளம். ஆடுகளை தலையால் என்னுமிடம் இன்னும்.

அசகாய நடிப்பால் அகம் கவர்ந்த கதை.

அதிகம் விவாதிக்கப் படாத இது போன்ற அரிய படங்களை எடுத்து வெளிச்சம் போட்டுக் காட்டியதற்கு நன்றிகள் சின்னா ஸாரி சின்னக் கண்ணன் சார்.
