I think the look for the film is OK as he is shown as the elder brother of 5. It would have been more artificial had he been shown as young and energetic. But they could have avoided the romantic portion. Arrambam was a relief as it didn't elaborate much on Thala-Nayan relationship.

Exactly what made Arrambam worked. Only Arya took those lou portions while Thala was hitting sixes.
