Were Tamil films boycotted at the BIFF?

No Tamil film has been selected for screening at the Bengaluru Film Festival which kick started recently, say sources. When enquired about this, we came to know that a jury was appointed to select the movies for screening and every movie that has made it to this event were based on their assent.
Interestingly, Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan inaugurated the BIFF and this has created a controversy as some opine he shouldn’t have been part of the event that boycotted Tamil cinema.

how many kannada movies were screened in the CIFF ?? how many hindi movies ??

there are some of my friends who are anti-eelam due to their foolishness or biased nature, does not mean they are evil creatures and their friendship has to be cut off immediately ..

geno, we shouldnt take the pro/anti tamil perspective in everything.. i think you are trying to slot every single activity in this world into either pro or anti eelam struggle ..

The actual honest question you need to ask and answer is "how many tamil movies were played?!"..

Of course, you cannot do that and i understand your acute uneasiness!!

We will ask these hard questions since Kamalji has the audacity to rub shoulders with Tamil genocidists (there are other pseudo-Dravidian warrior Elitists who do the same) and then make eloquent statements as if he is "really" pained about tamil genocide and since the "indian socio political environment" is stifling him and others like him, he is not speaking about it!

You must pose these "uneasy" questions to Kamalji - rather than with me..

The day he expresses his angst about "tamil genocide" and how only people who speak against it - and engage the forces which aided the tamil genocide, and who condemns and opposes that genocide will get People's imagination and backing - he lost all rights to be seen trampling that socio-political stance.

He might think he is the smartest but unfortunately - there are those who might see through him!

He is the one who FLAUNTS that he dared a serving PM against babri-Masjid demolition and so you cant blame us when we compare/dissect/expose/analyze/vivisect his actions/speeches/stance in the tamil genocide issue.

Anyone who thinks that Hindu Ram is a personal friend of his - AFTER 2008-09, WILL have to face the tamil nationalists ire.

We will wait out the opportune time - we are down, beaten, represssed, sir, but not out..

We will be around to expose the Pseudo intellectuals who shed tears for persians and their long lost cousins..but not for tamils...
