Hi RR: You are right. Kaithapram is the actor for the competition song "dEvasabhaathalam raagilamaakuvaan...", which is sung by Raveendran himself along with Yesudas and a small portion by Sharreth. Another version with Sreekumar instead of Raveendran was also recorded, but was not used in the movie.

The real composer for "OrangaLil..." is Kaithapram, and for "pramadhavanam veeNdum..." it is Raveendran. Both the songs are in Jog raaga and sound very similar, as you pointed out. It is also likely that K got some inspiration/guidance for his earlier movies from R ! To add to the confusion, Kaithapram wrote the lyrics for both songs!
