If Muradan Muthu had been announced as the 100th film of NT, Pandhulu would not have changed his camp! Coming to the present situation the whole Tamil Nadu knows the behind the screen happenings after the rerelease of AO which disappeared from almost all the screens, except two theatres in Chennai in which it is run!! Of course after the film 'Thirudathey' your icon MGR should have done one film as 'Poi Sollathey" that would be very apt for such situational lies.Kindly avoid sticking on to posting such baseless informations written by some crooks without verification. Since we are used to read such things in this thread now we have developed our own resistance and now we use to ignore these things, since ignoring is the best way to insult rather than adding insult to the injury. Try to go up to the next stage of reviewing your own icon's movies for the plus and minus aspects for the benefit of your own group people rather than provoking other groups to get some warmth. We respect your icon and his contributions but kindly don't resort to such postings when some conducive atmosphere of interaction between NT and MT threads are developing
    Dear Sir,

Am not batting for Mr. Sailesh but would like to tell you that he would have not looked into the detail of the TRIVIA and because it is Ayiraththil Oruvan writeup in Net, he had posted it. Mostly from his mobile or Tab am not sure, if he did it using his lap or system. Had he read the content, he would have either mentioned that it is not true (or) atleast he would have cut that portion and uploaded the rest .!

    Regards
    RKS

dear sailesh babu. this is also from media only.

: The much touted re-release of Ayirathil Oruvan, a 1965 superhit of MG Ramachandran and chief minister J Jayalalithaa as the lead pair has failed to ignite the box office in Madurai.

In the temple town, considered the box office barometer in the state, the film was released in five theatres. But viewer turnout is poor. A day after the film was released, one of the theatres cancelled a show 30 minutes after commencement due to poor response. "Only three tickets were sold for the noon show. We went ahead with the screening hoping more people will come. But even after 30 minutes, no one came. So we cancelled the show and returned the fare to the three people,'' said S Pandian, manager of Tamil Jaya, one of the prominent theatres in Madurai.

Ayirathil Oruvan, directed by BR Panthulu, is an action-adventure movie where MGR plays a courageous warrior who challenges a tyrant ruler. This was the first film which paired Jayalalithaa with MGR and gave instant popularity as the best pair in Kollywood. The film was also a milestone for MGR in his career.

The revamped edition of the film was released across the state in more than 120 theatres by Divya Films after the runaway success of Sivaji Ganesan starrer Karnan that was released last year. The film had its sound and picture quality enhanced.

AIADMK men hoped that the film would lure party workers and act as a propaganda tool in the wake of stringent guidelines on publicity material like posters and banners for electioneering. In Madurai, the film was also released in Ganesh, Annamalai, Meenakshi and Mani Impala theatres besides Tamil Jaya.

These theatres also recorded a poor turnout but for the night show on Friday. "Only 200 tickets were sold for all three shows,'' said another theatre manager. The poor turnout was despite huge publicity given to the re-release.

R M M Annamalai, state president, Theatre Owners' Association, said that they could not ascertain the reason for poor turnout. "Ticket price might be one reason. Most films screened nowadays face a similar fate,'' he said.

A theatre manager, however, reasoned that large number of AIADMK cadres had left for Tuticorin to attend Jayalalithaa's meeting. "Those in the city are also involved in election work. We hope that the turnout would increase in the coming days,'' he said.

dear RKS, dear Silesh Basu. Two different situations for MGR thread now. One is the pleasing jubilant situation for them in view of their celebrations on AOs 100 days run and the other is a grieving situation of the sudden demise of the mother of one of their prime hubbers. We restrain and deliberate after two days as a mark of respect and decency. Sorry for my sudden spurt of a posting to balance a posting from Silesh,

Elsewhere, you mentioned that Aayirathil Oruvan was removed from all the theatres after one week, except 2 theatres, please prove that please. I am not saying or restricting from you posting about anything, anywhere, it is upto you and the moderator.

I am again not commenting or restricting you from posting whatever you want to post in NT [ like what you are doing till date] and MT thread. Yes, if the moderator/administrator is STILL not bothered he has to be questioned and not you.

    All the best.

I am least bothered if AO celebrates 100days are not. My steps are measured as otherwise I would have also commented in NT thread for each and every posting which you have done about MGR. Again the Moderator/Administrator is to be questioned, not you.

    இரங்கல் செய்தி
    ----------------------------
