Vijay’s Kaththi audio launch which was earlier planned to be held at London has been changed. The audio launch event will be held at Chennai on September 18th at Hotel Leela Palace. The audio is said to be launched in a grand manner. Meanwhile Anirudh, the music composer of this film is busy with the recording and Vijay’s song will be recorded this week. We heard that the audio launch plans will be announced via an official press release in upcoming days. The team is also planning to reveal the first-look trailer in upcoming weeks.
Kaththi has Vijay and Samantha in the lead roles directed by A.R.Murugadoss, music by Anirudh whereas the songs are penned by Karky, Yugabharathi and Hiphop Tamizha. The movie is scheduled for Diwali release.

For fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay, here is the good news that they have been waiting for! The audio launch of the film will happen on the evening of September 18that Hotel Leela Palace in Chennai. The team has planned the event to be very different and extra special.
The youth sensation Anirudh Ravichander for the first time is scoring music for a Vijay film and the expectations are pretty high. It is also said that Vijay will be rendering a number in the film.
Kaththi is directed by A R Murugadoss with Samantha as the leading lady of the film.

Shankar's 'Ai' is the likely underdog IMO considering Vikram's current box office. We'll see if this clash really happens.
I doubt it and i hope it doesn't.
In the age and time when almost everything depends on the first few days of the release, i guess it will not benefit both the movies if it clashes head-on.
Jilla and Veeram though had mutually exclusive markets, did eat into each other's share a fair bit because of the contest. Screens had to be shared.
Anjaan despite overwhelming negativity, still managed to show impressive numbers in the first few days. I think Anjaan released in twice as much screens as Jilla/Veeram if I am not wrong.
Though what happens after the first weekend determines the type and degree of success, still too big a risk if two biggies release on the same day.

The box office dynamics of Kathi and Ai is very different from the Jilla-Veeram one. Whereas the final outcome of Jilla-Veeram was about the same with both finally settling in the above average/moderate hit category, things could be quite different in this case. Mainly because of the box office of Ajith & Vijay - which is more or less about even. Vikram on the other hand has had many setbacks in the last few years and will be fully dependent on Shankar to deliver. It could be more damaging to Vikram if the movie fails because of the clash.
And yes, Jilla and Veeram had to share screens compared to Anjaan. Anjaan not only got the best deal possible on max screens but hyped and marketed well that despite the negative reviews, it may finally turn out in the above average category.
