kadhalar dhinam,rhythm,e20u18 (though this was a crappy album) ,sangamam are the last few where the movies had his music bigger than the movies themselves..after that nobody really cares about his music so much in TN except for his HC fans here.
contrary to that IR had tons of movies running just for his music during his heydays

irrelevant example..times have changed my friend..now ppl dont even watch songs..they prefer to check FB during songs..in another 5 years there wont be songs in films...and all mds will be jobless..
and regarding no one cares abt his music..so who makkals care for nowadays? Anirudh?GVP?Santhosh? NO ONE...the situation have changed now..its not like 20-30 years ago..so your comparison that IR was more famous then compared to ARR now is not valid..
