Yesterday, Vijay's Kaththi was given the Blockbuster tag in Behindwoods' Chennai city box-office report. The film has also emerged as the highest grosser in the city this year so far.

The Top 5 box-office gross estimates in Chennai city, in 2014 till date are

1 Kaththi (6.71 crores & still counting)
2 VIP - 6.66 crores
3 Veeram - 6.14 crores
4 Jilla - 5.68 crores
5 Kochadaiiyaan - 5.63 crores

As reported earlier, Kaththi has already zoomed past the 100 crores worldwide gross mark and is still keeping the cash registers ringing. It has turned out as one truly big success indeed.
