Rajini is incomparable only for his fans not for all people. For people like me, he is yet another actor who is at # 1 place in the industry . You can very well defend him during comparisons but you cannot ask people to stop comparing.

Illa thread konjam asingama irrukkum for everyone avalovudhan ... I certainly dont want to 'defend' him - there's no need to and hope his fans dont get down to it - we had these exchanges in the boxoffice thread about 5 months ago. Well, we had done all the comparisons we wanted - their complete biography/resume. background of how they started, how many superhits/blockbusters they have given so far, their hits/#movies ratio, the kind of genre they have done, their box office numbers etc. But not necessary at this point. SS has etched himself a name that is had to replace.

All I'm saying is Vijay has done much better than expected in this movie so enjoy his success but has some ways to go before he establishes himself as someone at the top .. Better to modestly celebrate his success thats all. FYI - for me everybody is just an actor for my entertainment and I support someone just i would in a ball/cricket game thats all. They have their life and I have mine. Never a fanatic of anybody.

What the heck are you talking about ? While not wanting to get into a pissing context, KH crossed 100 cr. in VR without much fan fare just last year. The movie made a lot more than 100 cr. despite the ban and everything. You saw the box office charts that Cedy put. Even your Vijay has sobered down and a lot more modest off late. Why are you guys jumping like this ? Ajith is modest and sober as well.

Again, he's yet to establish something his own. There's simply no comparison between the two ... leave it. Being a newcomer, you can check the boxoffice thread about 5 months ago. Ajith is closely with Vijay with respect to comparable bo successes and people support.

Sorry to disappoint you but no media yet released any BO info on VR crossing 100 crores. If u do find any official statement on VR please do post it. Will be very happy if it did cross 100 crores. VR did release with huge fanfare comparing to other KH movies and became a hit due to sympathy from media, cleberities(Indian cinema), KH fans and neutral fans support due to the controversy and the film being very good( in terms of making ).

Not just Vijay, all actors have sobered down during different stages and making a comeback only some can do.

I am sorry to say this Ajith is nowhere near Vijay in BO but he may be closer to Vijay in people support even then Vijay has strong support from kids and families comparing to Ajith.

And the numbers they're talking about is in excess of 200 cr. my friend! Regarding sympathy wave, why didnt Vijay's Thalaiva evoke a similar wave ? Its all in the movie, nothing else. Even if Kaththi was banned, it would have become a BB. KH's VR is superior in all respects and transcends all fan bases. SS can carry a bomma padam just by his charisma. So it is futile to enter into any kinds of comparisons.
