Just a question, how did you guys find Sivaji?

Not talking in terms of BO report, just the movie as a whole. I personally thoroughly enjoyed it but did not like Endhiran.

I loved Sivaji and didn't like Endhiran either. Lingaa is not a bad movie at all, it is just lacking in screenplay and execution

Watched it..
What works-rajni(fantastic performance in flashback portions),flashback portions,dialogues
What didn't work-music(songs+bgm),except flashback portions
What disappointed-no mass scenes,mass punch dialogue,mass action blocks
It was already a hit by seeing the collections report...will surely end up as a super hit..
Waiting for Shankar-rajni or ARM-rajni combo soon

None of the ppl are pulling down the movie as you all are thinking. The movie is average, so it may be liked by some or may not.
There are few things KSR or Rajni could have avoided...

1) Being a thief
2) Pattalama suthurathu
3) stereo type robbing scenes.
4) That dumb climax

All the stars in the field have made these mistakes, and this is not a new one. But, we should not able to bear it when SS do it.
Please for god sake do not try to compare his box-office pull with later generation.

Lingaa opening weekend gross, only reported from 135 locations, is (1.8 M) (tamil + telugu)

Endhiran opening weekend gross was 2.1M (tamil + telugu +hindi) or 1.9M (tamil + Telugu)

A fun comparison.....In early october 2010, the exchange rate was about $1=Rs.45 and now $1=Rs.62.... which means Lingaa collected more than Endhiran in terms of Indian currency (FYI, i did not include Inflation)

It got very close to enthiran. Not sure how it will do in UK and malaysia
