    Kamal Haasan's tribute to KB and ...

    Kamal Haasan's love and respect for his guru K.Balachander is personified again. Having grown in the industry under the strong influence of KB, Kamal attributes almost all of his success to his Godfather.

    KB was a path-breaking theater personality before he transformed into a master director. His hey-days comprised of writing plays and staging them. The then aspirant Kamal also had the theater experience influencing his acting to a larger extent, through Avvai Shanmugam and Balachander sir.

    Now Kamal is giving it back. The 'Uttama Villain' has decided to start a theater troupe as a tribute to both of his gurus, rightly naming it as Balashanmugam.

    Films as a medium emerged from theater groups and it's nice to strengthen the roots and go back to the basics. Kamal always sets the first and the best example.

    Expressions of someone who has seen it all ........ the 17th time maruthanayagam revival is beong talked about ....... a few years back it was Maniratnam to direct KH and RK together ..... then it was a multistarrer with KH, nagarjuna, mamooty etc etc. Did KH tell anyone that he is reviving maruthanayagam next ? Appadi sollura varaikkum pagal kanavula kottai katturathu already ventha punnula vela paachiraa mathiri irukku. Thats all. Nothing personal against anyone. Just my frustrations. Sorry.

    Lets do a simple experiment. Just start some discussion in a.new thread on hub that Kamal and Mel Gibson are co directing Barry osbornes film on Prophet mohammed next and take the discussion to 2 or 3 pages. Within 10 days ...... Hindu la newsaa varum.
