Outstanding performance by Kamalhaasan in last 30 minutes..
I had great doubt about Gowtami and ananth mahadevan acting but both performed extremely well..
Asha sharath is great in original and good in papanasam ..Aasha,ananth being a non-tamilian delivered a lengthy dialogue portions superbly..
Kalabhavan mani as usual rocked and angered all the fans..Villaina apdi thaan irukanum..Nivedha Thomas,Esther anil everyone performed..

Ghibran music rocks..i am happy people started appreciating talent ghibran,even in this hub few appreciated his effort..His UV BGM and songs also superb but it didn't reach everyone and only few appreciated..
Kamal eyes,expressions were superb especially in 2nd half and in particular the last 30 minutes..

Hats off to Jeethu joseph for superb script and characterization..Papanasam is truly outstanding movie..

guys, checked out the bookings of theatres in chennai manually by opening the seats available for booking. Its some rock solid booking for tomorrow.

No need to check any more reviews. Overwhelmingly positive.

Only concern is Box office. It started badly. But, in Sathyam Chennai and Coimbatore they have added more shows for week end. The Bookmyshow rating in Bangalore shows very positive. In Bangalore, all the Drishyam version had run very well. (Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada). Only Tamil was pending. If any non-Tamil fan wants to watch, thats only for Kamal. Have to wait till the week end to get the clear picture.

Ignore the color coding - most of the green ones usually have 2 or 3 seats empty. Just open the shows in other theatres too and see the % of booking. Response looks overwhelming

To elevate a hero, strong villain needed. Here, the lady IG and Kalabhavan Mani fits the bill perfectly. But, the same time, we will have some sympathy for the IG also.

Moreover count theaters in book my show and ticket new..its around 43 and there are many other theaters in and around Chennai running PN..so easily 60 theaters for remake low budget movie which is huge..with good WOM week-end its housefull in good theaters and 70-80% full in other theaters by now...

I noticed only Shivaji movies Paasa malar and Padikatha Medhai. May be due to my age and conditioning. The Kamal character contains character traits of both those movies. There is an Anjaan movie scene say for 2 seconds.
