Discussing only about Collections is not a good thing.. But General public discuss about the scenes they liked and performance of the artists.. Fans too discuss the nuances of the film. But the fanboy want to project their favourite actor is the best, start shouting about the collections it made.
In democracy nobody wants to be in the losing side.
Nowadays Cinema is becoming more of a money spinner rather than art. KH is a kind of artist want to make people happy through art, get fame and name first... Money is anyway will come if more and more people watch and appreciate. Art and true artist will be the winner...

Record-breaking Kamal Haasan-Gautami starrer Papanasam has become the first Tamil film in 2015 to enter the Rs.100-crore club in respect of its theatrical collections.
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, Papanasam is the Tamil remake of the Malayalam super-hit film Drushyam which starred Mohanlal and Meena. The film, incidentally, courted huge success in its Telugu and Kannada remakes as well (Venkatesh and Ravichandran played the lead roles in these films). The Hindi version, titled Drishyam and starring Ajay Devgn, Shriya Saran and Tabu, is to release in theatres this Friday (31st July).
Papanasam, which released in theatres on 03rd July, has been running to packed houses and surprisingly enough, the colossal success of Baahubali hasn’t eaten into the family audiences’ yearning to watch the film repeatedly. Jeethu, who had directed Malayalam version, had debuted in Tamil as director with the film which also had Asha Sarath and ‘Kalabhavan’ Mani in prominent roles.
The film’s success is a huge boost to Kamal Haasan who is shooting non-stop for his upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual Thoongavanam.

The Kamal Haasan - Gautami starrer Papanasam enters the 25th day of its run today. It has held on strong despite the back to back releases of biggies such as Baahubali and Maari. Papanasam had a solo run for just a week before these other films came by. But still, the strong word of mouth and the fabulous content of the film have made Papanasam a crowd favorite, particularly among the family audiences.
This remake of Drishyam is a genuine Hit as we have declared in our Chennai city box office report, and Kamal would be looking to take the winning momentum forward with his next Thoongavanam as well.
Kudos to Team Papanasam. We have to see for how long the film can go ahead.
