"The award under the best song category, instituted by Swaralaya-Eenam International, will be presented to lyricist B K Harinarayanan and music composer Gopisundar for the song ‘Olanjali Kuruvi’ from the film ‘1983’, which was adjudged as the song of the year. Playback singers P Jayachandrana and Vani Jayaram will also be awarded."
