Sakala, in both the instances, the impetus was provided respectively by Rajini and Kamal and the final outcome was (getting past the winning post in one instance and higher margin of victory in other case) mostly because of them

Apart from that, as thamizh said, had Rajini suggested about Indian Nadigar sangam, he would have been trolled several folds.... Rajini was the darling of media in the late 90's and early 2000's, good or not so good, whatever he did was hyped up positively...... after several reversal of fortunes in the political arena, Rajini as a phenomenon started fading and he got negatively trolled both in media and social media whatever he did (again good or not so good)....... Now his popularity is kind of in wane so he is getting trolled...........

1) iam talking about fans reaction! the whole if 96-01, rajinifans were too vocal like ஆட்சியே எங்களாலதான் kinda comical shit! compared to that what kamafans are doing now is nothing.

2) then, can u explain what impetus did rajini provide at 96?

3) "had rajini suggested like that" et all are imaginary statements. and even in past, the opposition rajini earned by தமிழ் வெறியன்ஸ் are again nothing compared to the total opposition kamal faced, and is facing, overall! i mean, for different social reasons, kamal always takes a stand in many issues and thus faces huge opposition from different sides whereas rajini is mostly silent on most of the social issues.

That 96 doordarshan interview did make a significant difference in the political arena. Had Rajni entered politics then, he had a great chance of becoming a force. But for some reason he let go the chance. The subsequent 'Dhairya Lakshmi' comments and the drubbing he received from PMK during the Baba issue only made things worse.

Kamal on the other hand is praised for Pandavar Ani's success for more than one reason. He supported them from the start and he made his point clear. He was the only one among the Top 6 to voice his support for Vishal team. In spite of his brother contesting for the treasurer post, even Suriya didn't make his stand clear.

And the important heads of the Sarath team attacked only Kamal more than any others. It showed how desperate they were to portray him as a selfish and disloyal person.
