    KR Vijaya paired well with actors who were Sivaji's juniors. Dheerkkasumangali' with Muthuraman was her best.
    Nageswara Rao might have been Saaviththiri's first hero but Gemini Ganesan was the universally accepted best hero for her! If Sivaji is nadigar thilagam, Saaviththiri was the one to earn the title of nadigaiyar thilagam!
    As for Bhanumathi being a competitor and not a pair, is not the art of acting the chief asset of a film artiste? A rival is also a 'pair', a peer in this matter. Accoplished with aplomb by Bhanumathi!athigamaana padaththula izanjathunaala, azuthu pizinjathunaala mattum Padmini best jodi aaga mudiyumaa? How well does a pair sparkle is the criterion for judging!!!
