Yeah, that was supposed to be the pivotal clue. Once ARR and GVP are worked out, Vasanthabalan is easy to work out.

EVV Sathyanarayana died of cardiac arrest last month and it was while watching his funeral on a telugu channel that this question was born.

For those who dont know him, I have great respect for him for he was the director who hit the last nail on Amit-ji's coffin as a Bollywood hero with Suryavansham. RIP.
Otherwise, he is kind of Bhagyaraj-lite in the telugu context, and the younger son Naresh is a fairly succesful pandiyarajan type hero in Telugu now.
