அன்பு நண்பர்களே,

சற்று முன்தான் ஒரு சிறிய பதிவைப் பதிந்து விட்டுப் பார்க்கிறேன். ஆனந்த அதிர்ச்சி! பார்த்தசாரதி, Senior Member, Regular Hubber என்று என்னைப் பற்றி வந்திருக்கிறது!! நான் ஒரு இரண்டு மாதங்களாகத் தான் எழுதிக் கொண்டு வருகிறேன் என்பதால், இவ்வளவு நாள், பார்த்தசாரதி, Junior Member என்றுதான் வந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. இப்போது, எனக்கு ப்ரமோஷன் கிடைத்திருக்கிறது என்று எண்ணி இறுமாந்து கொள்கிறேன். அலுவலகத்தில் எனக்கு ப்ரமோஷன் கிடைத்தது போல் உணர்கிறேன். மிக்க நன்றிகள்.

And....not to forget Mr YGM who actually insisted Ms. Malathi Rangarajan to come to the theatre and watch the film. I was thrilled to read in the article that how MR YGM greatly appreciated the scene where Sekkizhar expressed fear while presenting Periya Puranam amidst the King and other elite group.....this scene was nicely captured by Murali sir in his post in the previous pages.

The glad news for me, personally, in the article is that the distributor Mr. Murali's assurance to screen GOWRAVAM in the coming weeks. Though I came with my daughter to the theatre last Sunday to watch the gala event, I was not able to watch the film among the fans. I'll somehow try to make it up for Gowravam. Looking forward to watch The Great Barrister on big screen, soon.

Definitely Sir ! Mr.YGM is one of the pioneers in our NT fraternity.

ஹிந்து பத்திரிகைக்க்கும் திரு மகேந்திரா அவர்களுக்கும் நாம் நமது நன்றியை மீண்டும் செலுத்துகிறோம். திரு மகேந்திரா அவர்களிடம் பேசும் போது நமது சாந்தி திரையரங்கினைப் பற்றி உணர்ச்சிப் பெருக்கோடு நினைவு கூர்ந்தார். தெய்வ மகன் படத்திற்கு க்யூ வரிசையில் நின்று காவலர்களிடம் அடி வாங்கியுள்ளதாகக் குறிப்பிட்டார்.

Thank You ! Manohara(1954) was a trilingual film produced at the same time in Tamil, Telugu & Hindi. NT-Girija pair ruled supreme in all the three versions. Actress Girija, as you said played second fiddle in many films of 1950s. She first acted with NT in Thirumbippaar(1953), in which she paired with Actor Narasimma Bharathi. Recently, I saw a film on VCD - Kaalam Maari Pochu(1956). Gemini Ganesan & Anjali Devi took the top honours in the film while Girija as Gemini's sister played second fiddle but her performance is second to none.
