First, I respect and admire MT MGR, though more as a successful politician than an actor.

Again, you prove that you are a timeless and worthless arguing species created on this planet. it was an argument between evp-thiruvilaiyadal and usv-thangapathakkam. All of these are 175+ day movies. We proved that evp 175 day collection was beaten by nt's thiruvilayadal when it was completing 150 days and same with other pair of movies. Were you in total control when you posted above comment? We never compared mgr's 200 day movie with nt's 125 day movie. Thiruvilaiyadal and Thangapathakkam may not have completed 175 days across all centers mainly because they were both replaced by another NT movie. All it mattered was NT movies have handsomely beaten MGR 175 day collection. This is analogous to manithan vs naayagan; though naayagan ran over 100 days, its collection was easily beaten by super star's 100 day manithan because manithan was released at central and naayagan at sugapriya (limited seating capacity). In fact, every one agrees that USV was made to run to complete 217 days at Madurai Meenakshi just to prove a point that usv could complete 1 day more than NT 10+ year prior b/w movie. Additionally, by creating trouble, then CM M.Karunanidhi indirectly brought a lot of free publicity to USV.

It was NT who gave 175+ day movies under various banners. Barring EVP and Anbe Vaa, all MGR 175+ days were from his own banner. What does this infer? You need to apply a bit common sense here. If you can't apply common sense, i am sorry that no body could help you.

It was the one and only (until today) NT who had guts to release 2 movies on the same day and make both of them successful. This shows the crowd pulling power that he had and that's why he was called vasool chakravarthy. i would again stress that due to enormous success in politics, MGR was shown as the only collection king by some undeserved tamil media. its all maaya jaalam created by tamil media. if you analyze you can see both were collection kings, with NT had an edge in urban centers. But, again urban centers make cash register ring - which shows NT was the real vasool chakravarthy.

Again, don't bring the term comedy here... prove your points with enough evidence - otherwise, you are a laughing stock on this hub.
