Try Audacity. This is actually a audio editing software, but should serve you for mp3 cutting/joining too.

Today, I downloaded this app 'Remote Web Desktop' from Android market. What an app! Control ur Android phone via PC's web browser! It was a very useful, interesting app wich you cannot close soon. Sending/Checking Msgs, using the PC Keyboard in places u need to type faster, using browser to see the screenshot before u take a snap, and that also gives you a chance for you to make the android phone 'see' itself!! mirrorring!! what an unthought possibility! I updated wallpaper, downloaded files, and sent messages. I wish if call making and true android UI emulation features are available! Also it would be nice if this app is open sourced too.
This feature may be available already in iOS devices, but what makes me happy is access such an app using a budget android phone(Dell XCD35/ZTE Blade), a feature, which is available in high end devices like Motorola Atrix! I wish the app dev, more success!

Dual-core Android Smartphone Comparison Table
HTC EVO 3D | HTC EVO 4G+ X515E | HTC Holiday | LG P920 Optimus 3D | Samsung Galaxy S 2 Attain | HTC Sensation 4G
All the 6 phones are power beasts, boasting dual core 1 GHz CPU. As of now, There is just no smartphones powerful than these, in the whole world. It will take some time for other phones, (even the ones from the above companies itself) to exceed this specs.
Imagine, just with an Android phone like dell XCD35 which runs at 600MHz, if you can control your Desktop(Windows/Mac/Linux) with app like this & control your Smartphone on your Compute, with apps like this, just imagine the processing power of the above mentioned rocking racers.
If you are happy with their Processing power but not satisfied with 4.3 inch display, try this - ARCHOS 101 G9 10.1 inch tablet with Dual core 1.5 GHz CPU. 8 gb model expected at $399.
If you want to keep an eye on Dual core Android phones - http://www.engadget.com/tag/dualcore,smartphone

Long ago, when i along with my friends decided to do a crazy academic project - throw empty boxes into electronic dustbin. It will scan the barcode of that product and order the same in supermarket, thru internet. Then i came to know similar crazy idea existed(only in theory) with some other friends in industry. Even now nobody attempted the crazy idea, but see this - Grocery iQ® for Android.
When you run out of something at home, you can just use Grocery IQ app to scan the barcode thru the camera in the phone and immediately add it to your groceries list.
See other interesting ideas to Save Money with Your Smartphone (most of them works ONLY in US, but still an interesting list
)

As a google admirer/fan, I wanted to buy an Android phone. I tried to buy a phone around 10K only and bought HTC wf S for 13.5K with free theft insurance

. Bangalore Sangeetha mobiles gives some offers (free insurance, gifts, lucky draw and 1 rupee margin sale

) in its Chennai shops to catch 'the market'. I hesitated to buy a Dell brand phone since they are very new to mobile phone market.
Dell smarphones are nothing but rebranded ZTE phones (chinese company) http://androidos.in/2010/11/dell-lau...s-xcd35-xcd28/
