இம்மாதத்தில் அதே இறுதி வாரத்தில் நமது திரியிலும் 'வசந்த மாளிகை' கொண்டாட்டங்கள் களைகட்ட இருக்கின்றன. அதை நினைத்தாலே மனம் குதூகலிக்கிறது. காரணம், 'வசந்த மாளிகை' நாயகனின் சாதனைப்பதிவுகளைத் தந்து கொண்டாட இருப்பவர் 'வசந்த மாளிகை' ஆசிரியர் பம்மலார்.

Actually, 60s la kooda betterA use paNNi irukkalAm. But net-net, 60s was a satisfying decade for me from NT.

If you ask me, the utilisation of NT was
50s - 40%
60s - 50%
70s - 20%
80s - 10%
appuRam only AngAngE so no need to comment. So
90s - 0%, save for Thevar Magan.

very right, there were many not so good movies (at least movies that i didnt like ) in 70's even though there were some gems amidst that.......... 80's was fine........ may be his health condition did not allow him the luxury of choosing plum roles....... but ennathan irunthaalum padaiyappa la kalakki iruppar......antha look, kambeeram and finally thaan pirantha veedai nokki odarathu........ he is just chanceless......... Rightly Rajini (or KSR) got this punch dialog for NT, (ennikum naanga [actors] ellarum ungalukku pinnadi thaan]

"உரிய காலத்தில் விருது கிடைக்க வில்லை என்ற ஆதங்கமும் வருத்தமும் என் மனதின் ஓரத்தில் 'விண், விண்' என்று இருக்கத்தான் செய்கிறது. நானும் மனுஷன் தானே", என்ற அவருடைய ஆதங்கம் அர்த்தமானது. அறிவிலிகள் அறியாதது.

மதிப்பிற்குரிய சாரதா மேடம் சொன்னது போல அடக்கத்தின் உறைவிடமாக அவரது பேட்டி அமைந்துள்ளது. பல்வேறு வினாக்களுக்கு அவர் பதில் அளித்திருக்கும் விதம் அவரது புத்திக் கூர்மையையும்,அடுத்தவரை நன்றியோடு நினைத்துப் பார்க்கும் பாங்கும், சரியான முறையில் தாய் மண்ணில் தான் அங்கீகரிக்கப் படவில்லை என்ற ஏக்கமும், அரசியல் பந்தாட்டங்களில் தானும், தன் திறமைகளும் பந்தாடப் பட்ட பரிதாபமும் ஒரு சேர எதிரொலிக்கிறது.

விரக்தியின் உச்சங்களில் அவர் விருப்பு வெறுப்பின்றி அளித்திருக்கும் இந்த நேர்க்காணல் வெறும் கானல் நீரல்ல. காட்டு மழை. இந்தப் பேட்டியை படித்ததிலிருந்து மனதுக்குள் சொல்லொணா சோகம் வந்து தொற்றிக் கொண்டு விட்டது. இதயத்துக்குள் பார சுமை ஏதோ வந்து அழுத்துகிறது. இனம் புரியாத கலவரம் களி நடனம் புரிகிறது. அந்த மகா கலைஞனின் மனக்குமுறல்கள் மனதைப் பிசைந்து பிழிந்தெடுக்கிறது. தங்கத்தைத் தட்டில் வைத்துக் கொண்டு தகரங்களை தூக்கிக் கொண்டாடும் இந்த தரித்திர பூமியை தெய்வங்கள் தான் காப்பாற்ற வேண்டும். வேறு நான் என்ன சொல்ல...
இந்த அற்புதப் பேட்டியை பல சிரமங்களுக்கிடையில் பதிவிட்ட பாசமிகு பம்மலார் அவர்களே ! என்றென்றைக்கும் நாங்கள் உங்களுக்கு கடமைப் பட்டிருக்கிறோம். கண்கள் கலங்கிய நன்றிகள்.

I am very surprise to see why Shivaji fans get this much anger on me, for asking just a clarification.

I just asked, 'when going through the ads published here most of the 100th day ads having Shanti, Crown, Bhuvaneswari.......any specific reason for that'..... thats all.

What is there to get angry?.

You published a printed statement of the theatres where Shivaji movies run 100 days in Madras. That list itself clearly shows what I told..

As per your list..
in North Madras, out of 52 movies ran 100 days, 33 movies ran in Crown itself and other theatres have just 1 or 2. Is it true or not...?.

In Central Madras, out of 54 movies run 100 days 25 were run in Bhuvaneswari, and other theatres have just 2 or 3.

same like that in South Madras, out of 85 movies run 100 days, 41 of them ran in Shanthi and other theatres having 3 or 4. the Chitra theatres comes second with just 7 movies.

This list was given by you, not prepared by me.
