There is one movie where Annan's sister gets engaged to some guy when she was fair skinned. She gets hurt in an accident and Senthil donates blood to her. She becomes dark skinned after that and even Annan won't recognize her and will get shell shocked later when he comes to know that she is the real sister.
Later on the Mapillai guy comes to the hospital and says to Annan that he cannot marry his sister and as the main reason he wanted to marry her was for her fair skin. Annan would keep pleading with that guy so desparately but Mapillai says "Enakku Vella Ponnu thaan kalyanam pannikanum", something like that. Annan in his desperation would say "Ungalakku Vella Panni kooda kidaikkathu mapillai" .

Does anybody know what movie it's from and any links to the comedy scenes? Also, Madanbob comes as an insane astrologer who would advice Annan to not hurt Senthil

Is he trying to spoof any particular singer, MD or a general singing trend of his times? Or is it a unique style of his own?

Some time back there was an interview by Chandrabose (in Mega TV?). He said that people who come from the stage should know all the crafts except editing. He came to Madras for acting but was able to make a mark in music. He even quoted the example of aNNan and said that GM only wanted to become a villain, which he was doing on stage, but he was so versatile and hence was able to make it big in comedy.
The point here is GM’s music is not a casual effort. If we closely observe, we can find that he has a very good music sense. And really does get annoyed if music was not given due respect (kaRi kada bhai scene).
Coming to your kostin, I think he made this unique way of singing, like his unique way of comedy -not many dared to do such comedy before aNNan. His singing blends his musical and comical talends and when people appreciated he should have stuck to it. Even here there are many presentations. We need to understand that he changes the tune and even lyrics most of the times, to his own comfort and the presentation is terrific. And that is why Sridhar’s song collection of aNNan is a historic collection. I need to check which was the last update and we need to start from there.
App, Plum can add more. I think Kaambli can do a good analysis, but he is not posting here for a long time.

Like SMI mentioned, coming from the country side + stage, GM should have lived his pre-cinema life feeding / chewing on both stage-M ('kAyAtha kAnagaththE') and TFM. Like using with perfect timing and precision every other thing that he picked up from regular life, he is brilliant in throwing the songs here and there as well.
I haven't closely observed his singing style (e.g. pitch change between lines as mentioned) and so not eligible to comment

One thing is very clear - GM should have been a terrific "music philosophist"
In college hostel, whenever someone sings on the corridor / bathroom, we can hear another shouting "ஏங்க, எந்தப்படத்துலங்க இந்த வச்சனம்"
