Enakku Piditha Paadal from Julie Ganapathy, the female version ( was it ShreyaG???). Beautiful melody and wonderfully rendered. The orchestration is rich overall and this is a number that I always loop through whenever I get to listen. It has something addictive about it that I'm not able to figure out.
Ilayaraja's Soorasamharam-----Kamal Haasan
Kamal sent the WITNESS(Aesthetic Amish Country life styles, surroundings, community etc.. BEAUTIFUL MOVIE.
Kamal missed, Sorry Kamal. tribal boy from the areas of கேரளா's இடுகி மலை, tribal community 's interesting culture , பழக்க வழக்கங்கள், அழகு மிகுந்த இடங்கள் கூட இருந்து இருக்கலாம் ...mmm without compromising the aesthetic of the movie. anyway... I am no expert ) kid to Padhiriyaar school for his protection, romancing kid's akka.
Indoor bathroom set up leyerundhu, Nirosha, eppadiyo outdoor swim pool ley vizhundhu, kamalai konjing.....idhukkellam konar notes aa poda mudiyum!
Anyway... Ilayaraja is the Winner!
Neela kuyiley... what a masterpiece!
Ilayaraja's changing percussion is one of my favorite.
western drums , guitar, trumpets, violins to show the tense drama of the case while affectionate, romantic sections get tabla with flute.
Prelude flute, sax melody
SOORASAMHARAM is one of my favorite early Ilayaraja's album.
Thanks you Raja for your music.

Thanks raajarasigan. ShreyaG in her early days I guess, but still her tamil diction was near perfect. Her talent was quite obvious in those early numbers that she sang for IR. I love her songs in Solla Marantha Kadhai, Oru Naal Oru Kanavu etc.
BTW, Eera Vizhi Kaaviyangal video songs got uploaded in youtube. Before you click on the link, some warnings: I thought of not wanting to share as it would ruin those images that you would have painted after listening to those songs. But, still I was very curious about this movie and what made IR give such masterpieces. I'm really mad at the director for the picturization of Kanavil Midhakkum especially.
