"பைலட்" பற்றிய தங்களுடைய நீங்கா நினைவுகள் அற்புதம். கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக தங்கள் மனதில் இடம் பிடித்து பின் நீங்கா இடத்தைப்
'பைலட்' ஆக்கிரமித்த விதம் பைலட்டுக்கு கிடைத்த வெற்றி. சூப்பர் பதிவு. ஆனால் என்றாவது ஒருநாள் தான் இப்படிப்பட்ட ஜோரான விருந்து கிடைக்கிறது. தினம் ஒரு விருந்து அளியுங்களேன். இது என் தாழ்மையான வேண்டுகோள்.

03.11.2011 அன்று 48வது ஆண்டில் நுழையும் நடிகர் திலகத்தின் 100 வது வெற்றிக் காவியம்

நவராத்திரி



தெருக்கூத்து வடிவை எதிர்காலத் தலைமுறையினர் அறிந்து கொள்ளும் பொருட்டு அன்றே அதை எடுத்துரைத்த காட்சி

There's a wonderful scene after the " Theru koothu ". Nadigar Thilagam has a casual chat with the drama agent (E.R. Sahadevan), who is slightly under the influence of alcohol....and with an obvious eagerness to meet the new found girl in the team. E.R.Sahadevan who normally plays a ruffian or a baddy in most of the films, plays the agent character in a simply way laced with a tinge of humour......though he appears for a few minutes only. Credit goes to APN ayya,

Our beloved Ganesan ayya, steals the scene by simply sitting and chatting with ERS. A side kick is seen monotonously fanning the Rajapart with a palm fan (in fact, in the beginning of the scene this man is seen having a quick nap on Rajapart's bed....enjoying the so called luxury !! available only to the Rajapart's in those days !!!!......beautifully conceived by APN ayya and wonderfully executed by NT). NT then asks him, " enna? sogama irukka ?? ".

An obviously frustrated side kick, hits the Rajapart with the fan quite often while fanning. Initially NT doesn't mind it but after some time when the same treatment continues he retaliates in his own way. Again, brilliantly analysed / conceived and excellent portrayal by NT. You can notice that there is a box aka "trunku petti " kept in the Rajapart's room which has the words " Rajapart dress petti " boldly written on it.

Without having proper training in film making (of course, the discipline and training that they have gained during their stage play days is matchless ) and not knowing the exact terminologies like mise en scene, mac guffin etc., our directors and actors, in those days have done a marvellous job. What a great period !!!

Dear Pammalar sir,

The first picture really captures my attention. One can understand the feelings of the actors to perform in public that too, to do a romantic duet song !!!

I personally feel that Sridhar shouldn't have done Vaira Nanjam.......I was wondering whether this movie really has got NT in it, for more than half an hour since the movie started to run, his character will not appear on screen. A very dull movie.

[இந்த குறிப்பிட்ட விளம்பரத்தை மட்டும் எப்பொழுது எடுத்துப் பார்த்தாலும் சில மணித்துளிகள் கண்கொட்டாமல் பார்த்துக் கொண்ட இருப்பேன். எப்பொழுது பார்த்தாலும், எத்தனை முறை பார்த்தாலும் அத்தனை முறையும் ஒருவித மலைப்பை எனக்குள் ஏற்படுத்தும் விளம்பரம் இது. அதே உணர்வு இதனைக் கண்டு களிக்கும் அனைவருக்கும் ஏற்படும் என்று நம்புகிறேன். எல்லாப் புகழும் நமது நடிப்புக் கடவுளுக்கே.]

Hmm rangan, well observed. I don't remember this scene at all though I've watched Navarathri fully a couple of times.

the therukkootthu is just fantastic. I will never tire of watching it. What a stupendous performance.
Sivaji adopting the 'bad acting' aesthetics of therukkoothu and demonstrating it to perfection.
Savithri - who is not an actor in the film - falling short of even that standard by being totally graceless.
What nuance I say!! A delight.
