    Sure, I heard from some of the professional photographers (Who captures events like marriages, birthdays etc) that Nikon is easy to use for people who are at the entry level. I dnt knw much. Just stating what I heard.

    venki - from what I have heard - Nikon. I use Nikon D3100 and like that product.

    If you decide on Canon Rebel - there are some really good deals in BestBuy for thanks giving. 100 dollars off and an extra lens on discounted price and bag, filter and memory card free. But I guess all these are in-store deals.

    Nikon 3100 selling for 30K in india. 32K with accesories like mem card, stand etc. FIY, venki and others.

    Nikon3100 is a very popular one here and elseware. Nikon D90 and D5100 too are popular i guess.     Yeah, I heard the same! And so far from my experience with D3100, it is true indeed. Another factor to consider while buying SLR is your friend's circle. If most of them have Nikon, it is advisable to go for it since you might be able to borrow some special lenses when you get adventurous.
