high quality/resolution display means i can understand what benefit it can bring. In fact the clarity is visible for all to see. but high quality, recording theatre level headphones, that too $50(Rs.2500
) a[[adi enna irukkum?!? I can hear all good sounds/music with my free samsung earphones itself. If the mp3 quality itself is bad, then nothing can be done.
In this case, what exacty u guys are hearing/avoid-hearing if you buy these $100+ headphones?!?

^SKV..it strictly depends on the content..if you listen mostly to mp3s then stock earphones are the way to go...I rip the audio CDs to flacs and it is far more easier to maintain them using cue sheets and the stock earphones lacks detailing in this regard.

Sakala,
Unlike video, it's little difficult to appreciate high quality stuff in audio. I mean, avvalavu easy-a difference kandupidikka mudiyaadhu. But once you get used to hear music in hifi gear, you will know what you have been missing

that means, mp3 files will sound too noisy in those headphones?!? Ant why just mp3? I listen youtube, other online vidoes, almost everything with the normal earphone. No issues. For me, the earphone will 'sit' inside the ear unlike heaphone which lies outside ears. so, this earphones itslef gives me some kind of outside 'noise-cancelling'
If you play a song in full volume, wearing an headphone, the sound will be somewhat audiable even outside. Persons coming nearby can hear and know what song is played! But that never happens in the earphones, even in full volume. So inthat way, sound is sealed only for ur ears, at same time, outside noise too prevented, to good extent.

^80s-90s tamil songs in flacs konjam kastam
Sansa/Sony stock earphones will match any sub20$ ones and when flashed with rockbox you wouldn't lack much detailing.
