yep..thats one thing it is not good in android phones.. but disabling background processing helps to increase batttery life.. too much of browsing the battery goes down fast.. Nokia is way better in that..

Galaxy series fulla battery issues dhaan, i have a galaxy S, still mulling on S2 v Iphone 4S for my next phone, but S2's battery issues (my colleague jus got a new one, even she has issues, doesnt last more than 4-5 hrs) makes me think twice...
Hamid, HTC la Salsa model pakalaame? better than Wildfire, has front facing camera as well and price is also almost in the same range.. another android option is SE's Neo V (but camera is jus abt ok)

LM, Galaxy R is dual core and has 1650MAh battery. Thats not a best battery capacity for a dual core, but still not bad considering the fact that android wont keep both cores running always, and also the phone wont be running in ints max speed 1 GHz always. So its not too bad either.

Hamid - jalsa peru dhaan, its more of a mix of desire and wildfire - has a funky FB button up front, the Sony Ericcson Neo looks wise better - same android versions as well. India price therla.. around 12K irukkanum for both HTC and the sony one as per our prices here..
SKV - avinga battery specs ellaam nice dhaan, but the way they (samsung touchwiz) handles memory storage and apps makes it eat up a lot of battery. If we custom overwrite a ROM over it the battery is much better.. but stock ROMs of samsung galaxy eats up battery...

There are some wrkarounds to preserve battery.
1. Install this app - Fast Reboot, this kills the unwanted apps running, much efficient than Android's inbuilt ASHMEM etc.
2. Carry the USB Cable / Charger!
3. This is tricky. If u r heavily in need of battery power and will be 'power-using' ur mobile most of the times, carry extra battery and 'external battery charger'

Not sure about HTC Sense UI but Samsung's Touchwiz can be disabled thru Settings. You can select to run only the Stock Android(2.3)

Don't go for Defy +
Its only an overclocked Defy (with a Bayer module, that used to be norm till the third quarter of 2011)
Save money on buying a Defy and OCing it

Here u can see comparition btw Samsung Galaxy R & LG Optimus 2X
http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3...&idPhone2=3598
Both are dual core, so u will get Android ICS update and the phone is fit enuf to run that version of Android. All the 1GHz single core mobile wont run ICS smoothly.
Ok, there are some ups and down btw these 2 models, galaxy R has 5MP cam vs LG Optimus 's 8MP cam. But LG has just 1500mAH battery which is lesser than Samsung's 1650mAH. Also LG only has 512 Mb RAM whereas Samsung has 1 GB RAM.
So Galaxy R has upper hand.
