Look at the clarity of his kannada Thalivaa This will put all those people to shame, who live for years together in Karnataka and refuse to learn the local language.

on side note Thalivaa this is playing at high of hypocrisy here, Ambraish was one of the main guys from Mandya who was supporting Kollaveri nagraj oops Kaveri issue from other side.

Again as usual .. you missed my point no suprise unga rangekku I can't explain I am sorry.. point was despite of living what 30 something years outside karnataka he still has the grip on the language.. I am not talk about clairty sir in the mist of people who refused to talk anything other than their mother's toungue he is a good example.

for your second statement , yes I will applaud kamal if he went and settled in karnataka for 30 plus years and gave a speech in tamil ! I am pretty sure he will be good at it too.

he must be constantly in touch with karnataka and the people there, like his friends and relatives...

Rajinikanth requests Ambareesh to quit smoking- TIMES OF INDIA
Tuesday evening at the Bangalore Palace Grounds was all about celebrating Rebel Star Ambareesh's 60th birthday and his 40-year contribution to Kannada cinema. But the highlight of the evening was, undeniably, the presence of Superstar Rajinikanth, who was one of the first high-profile guests to arrive at the venue, and also the last to speak at the event.
It was nearly 11 pm when the Superstar took the stage, addressing all the guests in chaste Kannada. He spoke at length about the many good qualities Ambi has, like Krishnamsha — his ability to solve problems in the industry and Bheemamshaa — "I go to his house only for the biryani that is served," said Rajini. There's also the Duryodhanamsha, of knowing everything but not acting on it. "Ellam gothu (He knows everything). He knows that smoking is injurious to health, but he isn't doing anything about it," said Rajini, also seconding Shatrughan Sinha's request to Ambareesh to quit smoking.
Kick the butt
Earlier in the evening, when Shatru took the stage, he reminisced about how he, Rajini and Ambareesh were famed for their style of onscreen smoking. "Years ago, on a May 31, I gave up smoking. Rajini doesn't smoke anymore. I urge Ambareesh to give up smoking this World No Tobacco Day for his own good, to have him lead a happy and healthy life, and also to ensure that his fans get to see more of him for a very long time. He should now get ready to lead society," said Shatru.
The Guest List
No doubt, Rajinikanth was the guest of honour, but there were other high-profile diginitaries at the event too. Ambareesh's good friend Mohan Babu came accompanied by daughter Lakshmi Manchu. Stars Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna completed the entourage from Andhra Pradesh. Chiranjeevi even kissed the Rebel Star onstage and said that Ambareesh inspired him to take the plunge into politics.
"Whenever I feel low, I think about Ambareesh and instantly get recharged. He always says that mistakes are a part of life and that one shouldn't get bogged down by that," said Chiru.
Ambi's yesteryear heroines Ambika and Jayaprada were there, as was pal Kushboo. The B-town factor may have been just Shatru, Jackie Shroff and Suniel Shetty, but the organizers ensured that all of Ambi's good pals who couldn't make it to the event made their presence felt.
An audio-visual presentation saw Amitabh Bachchan, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, Kamal Haasan, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Mani Ratnam, Arjun Sarja, Anil Kapoor, Lakshmi and Radhika Sarathkumar, among others, wish the Rebel Star on his big day. State chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda, minister R Ashok and Maharashtra politico Sushil Kumar Shinde were also present.
Colourful show
The organizers promised a 6.30 pm start to the show and start they did — bang on time. As perhaps one of the best organized Sandalwood events, the show saw the who's who of the industry chip in either with dance performances, or skits based on the Rebel Star's professional and personal life.
Notable among them being Sudeep's take on Kanwarlal, Shivanna's performance with Aindrita Ray and Radhika Pandit, and Darshan doing his bit on a bicycle while wooing Ramya with the line 'Mere Sapnon Ke Rani, Aye bulbul maathadakkilwa'. Upendra and wife Priyanka performed together for the first time on this stage. Puneet Rajkumar, Prem, Vijay, Yogi, Aditya, Harshika Poonacha, Komal, Yash, Kitty, Diganth and many more made this show just the right tribute to the Rebel Star.
Birthday wishes pour in
Amitabh Bachchan: Ambareesh has been a wonderful colleague and my well-wisher. He has been a great friend all these years.
Kamal Haasan: I have known Ambareesh for so long and nothing has changed so far except his body size. He might carry the wild young man tag, but he is a great friend and is like a child.
Mohanlal: It's wonderful to have known this man. He is known for his charity and he never hesitates to help people in need. He is the master of the Karnataka film industry.
Mammootty: I met Ambareersh in person very late in my career, but I want to add that I am one of his oldest fans.
