inga dhaan neenga thappu pannitteenga. Kalavaani aLavukku arumaiyaana padam-nu (forget the laughs) yaarum sonnadhaa theriyalai. Kalakalappu should be compared only to mindless comedy films like OKOK/BEB etc. And as I said earliear as a film, KKP > BEB but for pure laughs BEB > KKP. Arya is such a natural

    Nerd,
I remember reading hub comments telling Sundar C is back to 'uLLaththai aLLiththA' form...MMKR mAdhiri sirippu etc

In any case, VKK / kaLavANi kind of films had me in splits without an "official" "renowned" comedian there. Not that I dislike an exclusive comedian - I do enjoy a lot of Vadivel / Vivek stuff (uthama puthiran was a good one by Vivek in recent times). But Santhanam gets on my nerves most of the time

(Yes, BEB had some laughter moments thanks to Arya...the movie itself looked like a "poor man's Lalettan-Srinivasan" stuff. Nayanthara acted well too. Santhanam unselected in that also.)

I may not go near OKOK :soodu kaNda poonai effect:

Last 20 mins neraya per mokkainnu thaan post pannirundhaanga. I'm probably the only other person who felt the 1st half of Kalakalappu (KKP ) was better than the 2nd. There few scenes I liked in the 2nd half like Santhanam's first few scenes, Amitabh Mama.

Excellent short film"dharmam"... This was shown in kalaignar tv's naalaiya iyakumar program....

Praabhu solomon was very much impressed with this short film director "ashwin" after watching this film. prabhu said he will produce main stream movie under ashwin's direction if he has any story available...

its evident that watching a movie alone thru the net and watching it in a cinema hall with 100s of ppl is vastly different... kakalappu is one movie that needs the crowd. 2nd time 3rd time ellaam avvalavaa rasikka mudiyaadhu...

one movie that I enjoyed in cinema and later again and again in tv is ........ kanchana .... ... even now I burst out thinking of the scenes.

Comedy is too gud.. especially Singam puli (nalla director, paavam comedian aakkittaanga)..

Sivak mattum konjam vellaiya iruntha, adutha 'madhavan' nu sollalam... nalla nadikka varuthu (thx. to vijay tv)...

    'Logic' illatha idangal :

    1. Sister ai thedama, ava aNNan, singam puli group'oda thanni adikkirathu..
    2. Sivak thevai illama, heroine aNNan kitta poi maattrathu (in kerala)...
    3. climax, romba 'sappu' nu mudinju potchu (ithe climax ethanai padathula thaan paarkkriathu)

sivak & heroine romance scenes nalla irukku.. heroine s luking gud..
oru scene enai romba feel aakkitchu..
After engagement of the heroine, Sivak to heroine, "Ennai kalyanam pannikkiriya"... Heroine to sivak, "ean da..engagement mudinja appuram soldra"... very cute...

Thoroughly enjoyed the movie.. definitely i wil see tis movie again..

(PS : Padathula thaan intha mathiri heroine kadathura scene 'work-out' aagum... Real life la.. hmm hmm..)
