Sad to hear the demise of Rajesh Khanna whose super hit Aradhana was remade by NT in Sivakamiyin selvan . May his soul rest in peace.

ANM well said. outsiders like ANR, NTR and Rajkumar had shown how much they respect NT and praised him on several occasions than our own film people. that's the irony. There are few who praise NT fakely.. just to maintain their image cheap..

They had given due respect to our NT than any of the counterparts in Tamil Nadu

The biggies of the post-NT/MT era, KH & RK, have always been appreciative of NT (including having him in their movies...e.g. thEvar magan, padayappA).

They have also regularly worked with Sivaji productions' projects / shared screen with "iLaiya thilakam"...besides praising NT in media / stage whenever and wherever applicable...where's the question of not giving due-respect?

On a lighter note:
- One of the biggie movies of Rajini in recent times was titled Sivaji, with a punch dialog as 'parAsakthi herOdA' Though some can dismiss that as a commercial gimmick, the underlying respect cannot be brushed aside.
- Now Kamal has borrowed the title of NT movie for his latest project

The film actually embraces many melodramatic sequences but in a way that should make maadern piryars happy, NT gives a controlled performance throughout. The result is quite enjoyable. Blame one's memory and Rajesh KaNNA(RIP) for spoiling the movie for you.

Despite chatti thalayan Ravinder, aduppu vaayan Pandian and YGM in his typical "nAn mookai sindhinA negizhchiyAna scenela nadikkaREnnu arththam" mode, and several such distractions, Sivaji and surprise package Ambi chechi create some nice moments to cherish.

Mr Khanna, Rest in Peace but do so in the knowledge that you spoilt a NT movie for me. Not your fault that I ended up watching your version only when I got to know vevaram but I still blame you.

And keep in mind, Mr Khanna's was the original.
