B(K), agreed. The charaNam tune don't live up to the magic of the prelude. But the orchestration is a consistent delight here. This is probably what motivated @kameshratnam to strip the singing away from the song. Saw Sureshs65 (@Raaga_Suresh) point to it on twitter. Haven't listened to it beyond the beginning though (quality ellAm sariyA irukkumA? -nnu oru kELvi).
