To be honest, I don't expect Sachin to play beyond 2012. Even if he hits a century or two in the upcoming series, I doubt him to stay further in this current setup.

Gambhir is at the top of the tree and then you have a fair number of right-handers. Then it's useful if you have a left-hander at six if the wicket is turning. But that doesn't guarantee anyone a place in the Test side."
