Attended the event in person and have to say that our makkal have a long way to go to appreciate aesthetics. As a courtesy we can at best keep quiet when the orchestra is playing and maybe give them a standing ovation after its done. You just cannot hoot/whistle while in play. Its not there in our DNA. We are not watching a cricket match. Performers can get distracted with all these hoots and could end up messing the show.

There was a family seated behind me with kids and I for once thought whether are we in a picnic or kids magic show event. Kids continuous chattering and grown ups incessant mobile calls. Our tastes and sense of avai adakkam are despicable. If you have to come hear live music then learn to behave.

Raja deserves better than this.

I would rate the album as Raja's top 5. Please listen to Kaatre Konjam's charaman and the violin backups as Karthik is singing. It cannot be human.

Hope Gowtham has come up with some great visuals and not remove any of the songs in the movie

SKV mentioned a very good point during our telephonic conversation. IR said please dont whistle and every one of us followed it and there was a group which was not prepared to do it.

Note: THis group gave a standing ovation and applause and mention when GVM mentioned Vinnai thandi varuviya. So we know who they were ....a bunch of losers

Balu Mahendra with Ilayaraja again

The veteran director Balu Mahendra, whose Moondram Pirai, Moodupani, Azhiyaadha Kolangal and many such are considered masterpieces, has divulged that he has at least 6 projects in hand. He has already started his next film and in a recent event announced that Ilayaraja will compose the music for all his forthcoming films as always.

Though the legendary director hasn’t disclosed any details of the film, he said he is very happy with the way things have started for him. The first day of his shoot was surprisingly witnessed by Ilayaraja, whom the director respects very highly. Balu Mahendra has also observed his presence on the sets as a good sign and he says that he is sure of the film’s success.
