The Mozart of Madras began his career with the seminal 'Roja' in 1992, which revolutionised Indian film music. He also won international acclaim with Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire' for which he received two Oscars and Grammys.
And the celebrated composer is still going strong with over half-a-dozen high profile projects like Superstar Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan, Mani Ratnam's Kadal, Shankar's I and Yash Chopra's untitled movie in Hindi.
Now, to celebrate the Mozart of Madras's milestone, his sister Raihana is planning to hold a grand musical event in October along with a city-based music group. The event is expected to have popular actors and filmmakers from Kollywood who have worked with the maestro as special guests.
