Hi,
I saw this movie a few years back but I badly wanted to see this movie once again.
Actually I read a book called Nadigar to thilagam a book about Nadigar Thilagam and this book was instrumental in making me to buy this DVD.

Again a one Man show by Sri Sri Vijaya Ragunatha Bhoopathi sorry Nadigar Thilagam,
The story is simple A rich man whose philosophy is to help poor which makes him penniless . He is insulted in his sister’s marriage , his wife Sowcar Janaki dies in shock, his palace Ragupathi Bhavanam goes to Pawn broker.
How Sri Sri Vijaya Ragunatha Bhoopathi along with his sons( Jr. Sivaji, Nagesh) wins the battle of getting back his Palace, forms the climax.
Sri Sri Vijaya Ragunatha Bhoopathi is majestic as young Zamindar. The scene in which he warns his servant on finding a dust in his house is exemplary.
M N Nambiyar as Villan Kallaingaraian Kovil Zamindar is a nice villan who insults NT and blocks his way to success.
Jayalalitha has meaty role to perform admist Dual roles of NT
Nagesh & Manorama Rani comedy is pivotal to the movie evokes laughter.

Last NT
NT all the way especially dual roles , where he warns his son when he buys a suit and he laments his misfortune and JR. Sivaji’s reaction to that --------------. No words , it must be watched
Yarai Nambi Naan Poranthen song, action, top class
Climax scene enhances build up and NT reaction to these scenes deserve more than 2 eyes

A small story based on this movie

ஒரு சிறு கதை உண்டு. ராமு , சோமு என இரு நண்பர்கள் கோவிலுக்கு செல்கின்றனர். ராமு கடவுள் மேல் அளவற்ற அன்பு உடையவன்.சோமு கடவுள் மேல் நம்பிக்கை இல்லாதவன்.ராமு கோவிலுக்குள் சென்று கடவுளை மனமார வேண்டுகின்றான். சோமு கோவிலுக்கு வெளியே நின்று கொண்டு ,காலால் மணலை தள்ளி விளையாண்டு கொண்டுள்ளான்.ராமு கடவுளை நீண்ட நேரம் கும்பிட்டு விட்டு திரும்பும்போது ஆலய மணியில் இடித்து கொண்டு , நெற்றியில் சிறிய அடி பட்டு ,சிறிய ரத்த காயத்துடன் திரும்புகிறான்.அங்கே சோமுவோ மணலில் இருந்து ஒரு நூறு ரூபாயை கண்டு எடுகின்றான். ரத்த காயத்துடன் திரும்பிய தன் நண்பனை பார்த்து சிரித்த சோமு ,” பார்த்தாயா ! கடவுளே கதி என இருக்கும் உனக்கு ரத்த காயம்; எந்த நம்பிக்கையும் இல்லாத எனக்கு 100 ரூபாய் ! ” என சொல்லி சிரிகின்றான் .
இந்த காட்சியை மேலே இருந்தபடி பார்த்துகொண்டு இருந்த பார்வதி சிவனிடம் சோமுவின் கேலியை சுட்டி காட்டி சிவனிடம் கேட்கிறார் .சிவன் புன்முறுவலுடன் சொல்கிறார் ,”பார்வதி ! கர்ம வினைப்படி , இப்பொழுது ராமுவிற்கு பெரும் துன்பம் வர வேண்டிய நேரம்.அனால் அவன் நானே கதி என நல்வழியில் வாழ்ந்ததால் , அவனுக்கு வர இருந்த பெரிய துன்பம் சிறிய காயத்துடன் போயிற்று !! சோமுவிற்கோ அவன் விதிப்படி பெரிய அதிர்ஷ்டமான நேரமிது. பெரிய புதையலையே கிடைக்க வேண்டிய தருணம் , அனால் அவன் நல்வழியில் வாழாததால் வெறும் நூறு ரூபாயோடு முடிந்தது ” என கூறினார்.

MEMORIES OF KARNAN 2012.
The magnificiant success of karnan which was released in 72 theatres mostly all multiplex theatres on march 16 this year has collections almost five crores and equalled or crossed many present day movies in many centres which was widely accepted by all cine goers and people in the industry.
unfortunately some people has no mood to accept the facts and still comparing with movies rereleses in one or two theatres which may be a big success forthem but not to the extent karnan. this I am writing humbly not to compare or critiicise the success of karnan digital.
