இந்த படத்தின் highlight கதை தருமி நாகேஷ் . வெறும் 1 1 /2 நாள் தான் திரு நாகேஷ் நடித்த காட்சிகள் படம் பிடிக்க பட்டது .
இந்த காட்சி வாசு ஸ்டுடியோவில் படம் பிடிக்க பட்டது . அந்த காட்சி படிக்கச் பட்டது .இந்த கேரக்டர்க்கு inspiration மயிலாப்பூர் கிருஷ்ணசாமி ஐயர்.
அவர் கோவில் தெப்பகுள கரையில் நின்று கொண்டு " 10 வருடங்களுக்கு முன் எப்புடி இருந்தது . இப்போ குளத்தில் ஒரு சொட்டு தண்ணீர் கூட கிடையாது . அந்த காலம் வருமா ஹ்ம்ம் வராது இனி வராது என்று பொளம்பி கொண்டு இருப்பாராம் . இந்த காட்சிகளுக்கு சிவாஜி dubbing பேச வந்தபோது இந்த காட்சிய் once more பார்த்து நாகேஷின் நடிப்பு பிரமாதம் இந்த காட்சியில் இருந்து ஒரு அடி கூட கட் பண்ணாதிங்க , நாகேஷ்ய் ஒழுங்க dubbing பேச வேய்ங்க என்று டைரக்டர் APN இடம் சொன்னார்

My Theatre experience 2 months ago when I watched this movie

I received a shock of my life when I saw Thiruvilayadal poster in Coimbatore. I first thought that Thiruvilayadal would be confined only to Woodlands in Chennai , But it was also released in all parts of TamilNadu.
I literally broke down & complained the whole day (Friday) to my mother who is also a Sivaji fan wondering what made them to release a grandeur epic confined to small release even after the huge success of Karnan. I watched this movie some years back though I have Cd I watched only certain portions & not full movie in recent times
First I thought of giving it a miss as I thought It would be released in large scale & I can watch it that time but my mother asked me to take her to watch this movie. So I had no other go but to go for this movie.
So we decided to go to Sunday Matinee show. I skipped my favourite Thalaivar movie (Mapillai ) that was played in Sun Tv after many years
We reached the theatre (Saradha Theatre in Coimbatore) there was no women outside the theatre . I was little hesitant but my mother was keen to see the movie.
I parked my two wheeler but my mother bought Balcony box tickets, I usually go for Rs 30/- tickets in this theatre, also I felt there will be no one in this theatre as the movie was not publicized well if it was tickets for RS 30/- atleast I could be among few people instead of sitting alone also Sundarapandian movie was attracting most of the crowd in the Complex.
But to my surprise The box was partly full and it was slowly getting full. Exactly when the movie was to be played Thandavam trailer was to be played when an Old women shouted why Thandavam was being played instead of thiruvilayadal , her family members pacified her saying Thiruvilayadal will be played and the movie begun.
When Nt name was displayed the movie got struck yes, Current cut. Two lovers who were sitting beside me commented that this is a old movie and will get cut often
The movie then began , Lights were switched on often as the audience kept on coming for first 20 minutes i.e. till Murugan goes to Palani. After that there was no deviation.
Most of the audience were saying the dialogues it first irritated but I was happy thst Box was full and theatre was 75 % full and audience were loving it.
When Nt appeared on screen thunders in form claps from audience.
KP sundarambal songs were very much appreciated.

Dharmi portion:
Everyone was very keen , only laughters were heard particularly in Q & A between Nagesh & NT, Nagesh’s way of action etc , his eruption of smoke symbolizing poverty, his appearance was a treat to watch.
After Dakshayani episode flashes interval

Exactly 7 minutes after interval 2nd half begun
Fish episode begun again claps, reason yes NT walk coupled with Mama’s music superb
NT fights in that scene was appreciated by a 7 year old boy who was arrested by NT performance and was keenly watching it .
When Savithri utters the dialogue Easan Arul Vendum & Nt reaction brought down the roofs.
All were earnestly waiting for Bagavadar’s episode

Atlast it came
NT performed it with great perfection. Balayaa ‘s portrayal as Hemanath Bagavadar , Balamurali Krishna’s song was a treat, NT appears as Wood seller , his reference abiut his wives, poison consumption, sons was liked by all audiences.
Most awaited song Paatum Naane people started singing with TMS
That 7 year old boy was spell bounded when everything in the world stopped for a second in the movie
Claps again reason NT rolling his eyes and when he tweaks his eyelids” Naan Asainthal Asainthidum”
Laughter agin when Balayaa goes out the kingdom & NT’s innocent way of sending him out of the kingdom
I was literally in tears when Nt merges in Siva Lingam in climax
Audiences did not move till end card was played.

Oh God why did you take our NT so soon , I wish he could be here to see all this .
But I saw Shivan in form of NT
Great movie I enjoyed without a bit of strain a must watch

Print was not good it was too good superb .
Hats off to CNV Paramisvan don’t know the reason for Limited release but print was way ahead of Karnan . Karnan print had some issues but this one is like Blu ray no issues 100 marks for Paramasivan sir. Sound was also good.


Shanti Chokalingam also did a fine job in unearthing Karnan but print was ok & not of kind which was boasted by them but this movie is superb crystal clear.

தமிழ்நாட்டில் எந்த மூலைமுடுக்கு சென்றாலும் , பண்டிகை நேரங்களில் இந்த படத்தின் வசனங்களை கேட்கலாம். தமிழர்களின் வாழ்கையின் ஒரு அங்கமாகவே ஆகிவிட்டது இந்த படம்

Excellant Analysis of Thiruvilaiyadal. Of course, it shows the magnanimity on the part of NT's not
to cut the scenes of Nagesh. If some one in his place, Nagesh won't get that much appreciation
for his acting as the scenes might have been removed.
