For me at this moment he's the best batsman in the world (Tests), Clarke definitely has had an incredible year but he is nowhere near as consistent as Cook

Actually I was kinda disappointed with his performance against SA.
He played quite well against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. And he played well last time too. He was primed to do well. Only the extent is a surprise, and a pleasant on at that.

India should lose this series. Then only some drastic steps can be taken. Uncle Sachin Sir should retire unless he has some other plans to play along with his son . Also, the endorsements, sponsorers are likely to move away. So, brand Sachin Sir is diminishing. He should take a call now, ask his own self, doing a justice by blocking the way of some prospect ? . Dhoni should be sacked . Even if India manages to salvage in Nagpur, this is a below par performance . Replace the openers. Sack Gautam , push Viru to Down 2 , in place of Sachin. Bring Ajinkya as opener and try Vijay . Stop IPL money making business.

He's scored four double centuries this year. How much more consistent can you get? Definitely Clarke for me

Arvind, from what I've noticed regarding Clarke's career so far is he tends to get his big scores in a cluster, he had a exceptional series against India and SA (both home) but I don't think he got a hundred in the Windies. Cook though, has got his runs mostly in the Sub Continent this year and hence my standpoint
