One Hubber (can’t remember who) mentioned that there was a political issue which hindered the ratings of the movie. (or something, I’m not sure). (It’s a pity that people didn’t separate their views from politics to cinema, when it comes to big heros.)
Anyway, the movie could have ended like; NT meets JJ after so many years, get together and live happily ever after, without creating a son for him (NT again) and his pair Sripriya. It reminds us some of his previous movies and it didn’t have to be like that. Couldn’t the story writer have just ignored the usual NT style movies and created a wonderful love story? NT must have worked really hard learning professional Bharatha natyam. For those who criticises his dance movements in the film; nobody can’t expect him (or the character he portrays) to dance like JJ, as the main theme of the story is a business man who has no idea about dance but learning it out of love.
NT was majestic and stylish in depicting a successful businessman, like he did in Avan thaan manithan. Those scenes when he falls for a dancer are wonderful to watch.
