From our perspective, Mani, Rajni, Kamal and Shankar may be big names - but if you are IR - from his perspective - he has provided Rajni with his first songs in Bhuvan Oru Kelvikuri and Bhairavi to hits in Dharma Yuddham, Priya, Johnny and multitude of films. We know the story with Mani - He did Mani's first movie in Kannada and then recommended him to other tamil producers - From his perspective, I think he rightly feels he was established and sucessful independent of these guys and do not need their films. That too me is supreme confidence in his uinderstanding and the mastery of music. I admire that personality

Well said Kr sir. Out of my insatiable greed that IR should work with top berth folks in the industry like Mani, Shankar. Rajini, Kamal , etal.. and there by get some very great stuff from IR, I used to feel exasperated due to IR's lack of diplomacy. I tjink Venkikram has similar thoughts too.
But now a days, I have come to terms with the moods of the genius.
I realized geniuses can be quirky and need not conform to these so called hypocritic social niceties , which the industry is so full of.
