Continuing with the theme of respecting others; irrespective of what language they speak,
religion they believe in, and country they live in; here is one of my favourite Tamil Film songs.
For this song that praises and glorifies the Tamil language, lyrics are by கவிஞர் கண்ணதாசன்,
set to music by Malayalam music director Devarajan, for the Tamil remake of the Malayalam
classic துலாபாரம். The movie (in Malayalam and Tamil) was directed by A. (Aloysius) Vincent.
By the way, Vincent was the cinimatographer (cameraman) for almost all of (C.V.) Sridhar's
classic Tamil movies, as well as several famous Hindi and other language movies . The original
Malayalam version of துலாபாரம் won the National Award for the Best Feature Film;
and Sharada (who is from Andhra Pradesh) won the National Award for Best Actress!
