ஒரு முக்கியமான பதிவை இங்கு இன்று இட போகிறேன். அதற்கு பின்னூட்டமான சிந்தனைகள் வரவேற்க படுகின்றன.

எனக்கு ஒரு விஷயம் புரியவில்லை. பாராட்டு ஆனால் திட்டாதே என்ற அறிவுரை. சிறுமை கண்டு பொங்கவில்லையெனில் ,பாராட்டுகளுக்கு என்ன மகிமை?

நீங்கள் ஒரு washing Machine /Fridge /TV வாங்கி அது உங்களின் தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்யாவிட்டால் திட்டும் உரிமை/தட்டி கேட்கும் உரிமை/வெளியில் சொல்லும் உரிமை உண்டா இல்லையா? அப்போது உங்களுடன் வந்து ஒருவர், அந்த கம்பெனி முதலாளி நல்லவர் ,அவர் அநாதை இல்லத்திற்கு நன்கொடை கொடுத்தார், அவர் சம்பத்த பட்ட தொழிலை வாழ வைக்கிறார், அவர் வீட்டுக்கு நான் போயிருந்த போது காப்பி கொடுத்தார்,மற்றவர்களுக்கு பிடித்ததால் தானே கம்பெனி நன்றாக நடந்தது என்றெல்லாம் பாதிக்க பட்டவரிடம் சொன்னால் ,போடா வேலையை பார்த்து கொண்டு. என்று தொடர்வீர்களா மாட்டீர்களா?

சினிமா என்பது கொஞ்சம் சர்வாதிகாரமானது. உன்னத தரம் கொண்ட சிவந்த மண் போன்ற படங்களுக்கும் , குப்பை படங்களுக்கும் அதே டிக்கெட் விலை(மற்ற பொருள்கள் எல்லாமே தரம் மற்றும் model சார்ந்து விலை வேறு படும்.). நம் நேர விரயம் சமமானது. நம்மை இருட்டறையில் அடைத்து பேச்சுரிமை-செயலுரிமை தடுக்க படுகிறது. consumer court போக முடியாது.
இந்த நிலையில் பிடிக்காவிட்டால் பார்க்காதே என்ற லாஜிக். பார்த்த பிறகுதானே தெரியும் பிடித்தமா இல்லையா என்று. விமரிசனம் ஒவ்வொன்று ஒவ்வொரு விதம்.நம்ப முடியாது.

நம்மை விட கீழான ஆட்கள் திறமையும் இன்றி ,குப்பைகளை கொடுத்தால் ,அதனை வயிற்றெரிச்சல் தீர விமரிசிக்கும் உரிமை மட்டுமே நம்மிடம் மிஞ்சியுள்ளது.பொறுப்புணர்வு இன்றி,திறமைகளையும் வளர்த்து கொள்ளாமல்,அசிங்கமாக நம்மை படுத்திய ,creativity இல்லாமல் அரசு வேலை போல பார்த்து கொண்டிருந்தவர்களை ,தன்னுடைய சராசரி மனித நேய பண்புகளை பத்திரிகை மூலம் blow -up பண்ணி(ஒரு பொறியாளர்,டாக்டர், நிர்வாகி இதே பணியை செய்தால் இந்த வசதி உள்ளதா) காலத்தை ஒட்டிய பேர்வழிகளை விமர்சனம் கூடவா செய்ய உரிமை இல்லை?

நான் வீணாக்கிய பணம்,நேரம் இவைகளை என்னை தடுக்கும் நபர்கள் வட்டியோடு கணக்கு பார்த்து கொடுக்கட்டும்.

நான் ஒரு ரவிச்சந்திரன் ரசிகன்(ஜெய்சங்கர் அறவே பிடிக்காது) அவரை எல்லோரும் ஷம்மி கபூருடன் ஒப்பிட்டாலும் , ஷம்மி கபூரை விட handsome ஆனவர். சிவாஜிக்கு பிறகு கேமரா பார்வையில் handsome ஆக தெரிந்த நடிகர். பொழுது போக்கு படங்களில் சிவாஜி style படி நடித்தவர்.
நேற்று இதய கமலம் என்ற அருமையான படம்(கலைஞர் TV ) ரவி-கே.ஆர்.விஜயா ஜோடி படு cute .
நீ போகுமிடமெல்லாம் பாட்டில் side ways ஆக துள்ளி ஒரு step எடுப்பார் பாருங்கள் அடடா.!!
மலர்கள் நனைந்தன பாட்டில், பட்ட காயத்தை சொன்னது கண்ணாடி என்ற வரிகளில் ஒரு விஷம வெட்க சிரிப்பு. ரவி, ரவிதான்.

அவர் நடித்த இரண்டாவது படம் இதய கமலம் என்று நினைத்திருந்தேன். ஆனால் நல்வரவு என்ற படம்தான் இரண்டாவதாமே?யாருக்காவது விவரம் தெரியுமா?

Not many are aware that the second 'film' of Ravichandran is 'Kali Kovil' (1964). He made a cameo appearance as a spectator in a confined crowd for the song 'Deiviyiar Iruvar Muruganukku' by Rajshri. His film which was produced by MS Viswanathan was also directed by Sreedhar and released after 'KathalikkaNeramillai'.

There were some unconfirmed press reports that Ravichandran got himself converted to Islam just to take Sheela as his second wife as a way to subvert the opposition from his legally married wife's side. To boost his sagging image he became involved with the DMK party which was ruling then. Perhaps he thought that he can be given the support like MGR when the latter left DMK to form the ADMK. But it never happened and he was already on the way out due to lack of new film projects.

The irony is that when he was first introduced he was given the nomenclature 'Malaysia Ravichandran' but subsequently he chose to ignore his country of origin, Malaysia. Although born in Tiruchi he was bred in Kuala Lumpur. This is in stark contrast to Malaysia Vasudevan who died with this nomenclature and who was also equally popular like him.

In 1968 he was a guest of honor at the now defunct Hindustan Theatre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for the second evening show of his film 'Thanga Thambi'. He went on stage to say how proud he was to be a Malaysian etc. He even showed a scar in his body incurred during the fight scene of this very film, Thanga Thambi.

The second appearance was in the Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka Hall, Kuala Lumpur where he, along with his new wife Sheela, Gemini Ganesh, Rajshri, Suruli Rajan and a host of others appeared for a cultural and variety show. He even spoke Malay impromptu much to the delight of the Malaysian audience.

Malaysians were very proud of him but for reasons best known to himself he chose to be aloof from them. When his brother, Bairoji Narayanan died in the early 2000s Ravichandran was conspicuously absent for the funeral. Bairoji Narayanan was a veteran radio and television broadcaster and dramatist and was very popular in Malaysia.

Malaysians were touched when he reminisced about his you her days in Kuala Lumpur on the Koffee with Anu programme just before he died.

In this week's Kumudham, his wife Vimala recalled an interesting incident when shown a rare photograph of some film veterans sitting with her late husband. She was taken to the studio for the shooting of the film 'Andru Kanda Mugam' by her husband after their wedding. The heroine was Jayalalitha. A cameraman seeing the newly-married couple penned a short verse and showed it to Kaviarasar Kannadhasan. Without any ego Kannadhasan was delighted and said that he will complete it as a song for this film. That song is 'Kan Padaithaan Unnaipol Kaanbatharkku'.

She also recalled that at the wedding reception producers like TR Ramana gave cash advances as gift tokens for their new film projects like Kumari Penn, Andru Kanda Mugambigai etc. and booked her husband to play the leading roles. This is something unheard of!

1970-ல் துவங்கப்பட்ட 'மயிலாடும் பாறை' திரைப்படம் பல ஆண்டுகள் கிடப்பில் போடப்பட்டு, ஒருவழியாக 1978-ல் 'மயிலாடும் பாறை மர்மம்' என்ற பெயர் தாங்கி வெளியானது. படத்தில் ரவி உள்பட அனைத்து நடிக நடிகையரின் தோற்றமும் காட்சிக்கு காட்சி வித்தியாசப்படும். வெகு நாட்களாக எதிர்பார்த்திருந்த (என்னைபோன்ற) ஒருசிலர் மட்டுமே பார்த்தோம். படம் வந்த வேகத்தில் தியேட்டரைக் காலி செய்தது. படம் சுமாராக இருந்தது. அப்படம் பற்றிய சில குறிப்புகள் இத்திரியின் துவக்கப் பக்கங்களில் ராகவேந்தர், சாரதா ஆகியோரால் தரப்பட்டுள்ளது. தங்களின் அபார நினைவாற்றலுக்கு பாராட்டுக்கள்.

First and foremost I must thank you for pointing out the typo errors. Using the iPad was the cause as it self-assumes words which you never intended and if you are not careful enough to check the text it is carried. Of course, what I typed was Kalai Kovil and Andru Kanda Mugam and not as printed. Yes, TR Ramana gave the advance for Kumari Penn at Ravichandran's wedding reception.

Unlike Malaysia Vasudevan, Ravichandran was not seen in social functions in Malaysia since his foray into films. That was a sad fact. But that does not mean he distance himself from Malaysians. The opposite is true. Many Malaysians have taken the liberty to pay him courtesy calls in his residence in Chennai and they were full of praises of his hospitality. He even used to share the familiar locations in Kuala Lumpur with them.

I still remember an occasion when I met him in Kuala Lumpir way back in 1974 with the late actor Surilirajan. I invited Ravichandran along with Surulirjan for a drink at a nearby shop. He immediately turned to Suruli and proudly announced that such impromptu invitations are the Malaysian way of life. He was proud to be a Malaysian he told the bewildered Surulirajan. Need I say more about Ravichandran's allegiance to his country where he was bred? But the fact remained that he did away with the 'Malaysia' nomenclature prefixed to his name in 1965 itself.

Thank you Mr.Mahendra Raj. It depends on family tradition to carry the name of the native with their name. When I interracted with Ravi, he even mocked at attaching titles with the name. (Same Views as Ajith) This could be the reason. Keep contributing regularly to this thread. I have lot of Malaysian friends. I am comfortable with Bahasa Malay.
